On March 11, Panic! at the Disco made a stop at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL on their Death of a Bachelor Tour. This tour began on February 24, 2017 in Uncasville, CT and ended on April 15 in Sunrise, Florida, making thirty six stops total. The band’s latest album, Death of a Bachelor, was the main focus of Panic!’s last two tours. The opening acts for this tour were Saint Motel and Misterwives. Panic! at the Disco formed in 2004 in Las Vegas with four original members. They climbed to the top of the charts with their 2005 single “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” and have since had eleven singles on the Billboard Hot 100. Their sound changes between all five of their albums, from electronic dance pop to organic and mellow. Since formation, the band has been reduced to only one permanent member— Brendon Urie. This was my second time seeing Panic! at the Disco and they never fail to impress me. I was also excited to see the opening acts, who gave a phenomenal performance. I was on my feet dancing the entire time, and it was a great night. During Panic! at the Disco’s song “Girls/Girls/Boys,” fans passed out colored-paper hearts to put over crowd members’ phone lights. Doing this made the arena light up with different colors in a beautiful moment of solidarity. Urie was very impressed, and mentioned that many other stops on the tour had moments like this one. The visuals on the screens behind Urie as he was performing were stunning and the light design was amazing. It was easy to see that Urie was having a fantastic time performing, which made the concert much more enjoyable. I give this concert a nine out of ten. The show had great structure and energy, but Urie went a bit overboard with the amount of falsetto notes he hit to stylize his voice. I absolutely recommend seeing Panic! at the Disco next time they are in the
