Project Title: Automatic Medicine sorting machine Date Prepared: 1/12/2013
Process Description:
The process of sorting medicines are very useful in all pharmaceutical firms as it’s the most essential part of whole medicine manufacturing cycle. So in different firms in Pakistan at a time it is been conducted manually so the hygiene level is quite low. So, after the end of this whole chain of processes we’ll get an automatic system that can sort different types of medicine according to its color, weight and size and this will be done automatically without any human interruption. The chief steps of this project would be:
Gathering Information verifying that information Designing Testing Calibration
Process Metrics:
• Every process is designed to reliably produce one or more outputs, so, in deciding what metrics to develop, we always focus at first on process outputs, not activities,. The metrics should measure whether the process not only produces the outputs but also that all appropriate expectations are met every time the process is executed.
• In first developing metrics, we focus on what to measure, not how measurement is going to happen. There are several reasons for this: First, the decision about whether to create a given metric is more important at first than determining exactly how the data might be tracked, reported, archived, and so on. While measurement can be costly and sometimes not worth the effort, we have watched some teams talk themselves out of a potentially valuable metric just because they weren’t exactly sure at first how to collect the data. Usually, you have choices as to what to collect and report – for example, maybe you focus only on exceptions, or only reporting quarterly – that can reduce t...

... so that it is clear which actions support each goal. The columns are defined as follows:
Primary Goal and Intermediate Goals:
This column states the primary and intermediate goals of the improvement project. Each intermediate goal in the action plan is based on one problem statement. For example, the problem statement “Changing requirements” can be rewritten as an intermediate goal “Manage changing requirements.” The intermediate goal is a statement of the
Desired outcome when the problem has been solved.
Purpose of Goal:
This column reminds you of your motive for this goal. The motive is determined by asking, Why do I want to achieve this goal? What benefit does it provide? Always complete this column. It will keep you focused and pull
You through times when you are ready to give up.

Implementing technology in a clinical setting is not easy and cannot be successful without a well-organized system. It is important that healthcare providers understand the electronic medication administration record (eMAR) and its role in improving patient safety. One of the most significant aspects of healthcare is the safety of our patients. Medication errors account for 44,000-98,000 deaths per year, more deaths than those caused by highway accidents or breast cancer. Several health information technologies help to reduce the number of medication errors that occur. Once of these technologies is bar-code-assisted medication administration (BCMA). These systems are designed to ensure that the right drug is being administered via the right
The Success Measure: The success measure is to maximize the daily operating profit and to gain market share.
Ensure that effective measurements and monitoring mechanisms are in place to determine whether implemented solutions have yielded predicted benefits and to drive continuous process improvement.
The purpose of the medical administration workflow diagram is to represent the rational choices and improvement of steps at the end of a task precisely. The definition of workflow is a progression of steps (tasks, events, and interactions) that comprise a work process: involve two or more persons, and create or add value to the organization’s activities. Workflow is a term used to describe the action or execution of a series of the task in a prescribed sequence (McGonigle & Mastrian, 2012, p. 266). The Workflow diagram is a valuable implement. The workflow chart can identify optional or non-value-added activities and task that you might choose to eliminate ("Workflow Assessment for Health IT Toolkit," 2012). Additional information that may be helpful within the workflow diagram is comprehending the tasks, be knowledgeable about everyone positions that are taking part in the work, recognize significant areas, improvement medication administration. The paper will explain the practice of medication administration, depict the metric benefits to determine the accuracy of workflow and its success, look at the areas that
Bar code administration is being incorporated into the medication administration process across healthcare to increase patient safety and reduce medication errors
The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement is a very popular and bestseller book in management section. Eliyahu M. Goldratt and Jeff Cox wrote the book in 1984. It comes in 390 pages. It published by The North River Press. In 20 years, over than three million copies were sold, translated into 21 languages and taught in over 200 collages. The way the book is written was like telling a story although the contents are science. That is because the author thinks it is the best way for education.
To follow the strategy and to work on the mentioned pillars for achieving the common goals, Yum!
At its most fundamental core, quality improvement of healthcare services and resources requires disciplined attention to the measurement, monitoring, and reporting of system performance (Drake, Harris, Watson, & Pohlner, 2011; Jones, 2010; Kennedy, Caselli, & Berry, 2011). Research points to performance measurement as a significant factor in enabling strategic planning processes and achievement of performance goals (Tapinos, Dyson & Meadows, 2005). Thus, without a system of measurement that accounts for the performance behaviors of healthcare professionals, managers and administrative employees, quality improvement remains a visionary abstraction (de Waal, 2004).
Define the current situation - break down problem into component parts, identify major problem areas, develop a target improvement goal
... From such things as struggling with your weight to larger things such as buying a house or getting the promotion you desire, taking an encompassing goal and breaking it down to smaller specific goals allows you to create a defined map that will promote your progress, one small step at a time, until your dreams have been achieved. Pursue its strategy in a balanced and coherent manner, with the vision placed above, and strategic objectives broken down into four perspectives;
...objectives. I have finally come to know what my goals are and the way in which my career will be sculpted. It is more of self-evaluation and self organization than for others.
Motivation is key in the workplace. It is developed from the collaboration of both conscious and unconscious principles such as the strength of desire or need, motivating force or reward estimation of the objective, and desires of the person and of his or her peers/co-workers. These elements are the reasons one has for carrying on a specific way. An illustration is an understudy that invests additional energy contemplating for a test since he or she needs a superior review in the class. The Inside and outside principles that animate want and vitality in individuals to be constantly intrigued and centered around their work, part or subject, or to try to achieve an objective.
On the basis of the identified needs, we can set goals on when to develop those skills, what are our intended results and the strategies to achieve them. My personal and professional development plan on the basis of the identified development needs is as follows:
