In Australia, occupational exposures to environmental hazards are related to a wide extent of work related injuries such as stains, burning and open wounds. Based on the key work health and safety statistics in Australia, there were 128050 workers that report to claim for the compensations of work-related injuries or disorders from 2011 to 2012 and those most common occupational injuries often cause by body stressing, falls, heat and some chemical substance (Safe Work Australia, 2014). Also, according to the survey of National Hazard Exposure Worker Surveillance in Australian workplace, there were 228 worker fatality due to occupational injuries between 2011 and 2012 even though the final result of workers injury claims and fatalities are still decrease in comparisons to the record of 2010-11, but the injury incidence are not yet achieved the target rate which contribute by the Australian work health and safety

In addition, the incidences rate of injuries in café and restaurant is high in the preliminary data between 2011 and 2012. It is about 10.7 serious claims in every one thousand employees data (Safe Work Australia, 2014) . Therefore, this survey is focused on finding out the potential environmental hazards that affect the health of food handling worker during the food processing in café such as making a sandwich or roll and reports the likely exposure profile of the people involved during this process via the risk assessment. Also, the survey will discuss the level or likelihood of the hazards identified that is exposed to the human health. Overall, this college would provide a good education with three of my most beloved and favoured subjects for my career goals/interest. So, my keen interests are my three picked courses that have the grade requirements that I am available to overcome and exceed. Also, this college is very close to my location (7 Hadley Croft, B66 1DP) and provides a bus service in Oldbury and West Bromwich, which is a perfect combination to travel to this college. Overall, there won’t be any worry or difficulty of reaching Halesowen College thus this place forms to be an excellent place for me to continue my education for Year 12 and Year 13.
Almost every angle of the food industry can be considered dangerous. It is dangerous to make the food, as a meatpacking job is one that is viewed as having abnormally high risks; however when the food is handed over a counter on a tray or prepared in a family of four’s kitchen, it poses a huge risk to humankind. Foodborne illnesses are all too common and almost everybody has the possiblity of contracting a foodborne illness. These are life threatening diseases that need to be monitored and regulated; therefore the enforcement of government regulations in the fast food industry could potentially save many lives that are lost annually due to the numerous factors that need regulation.
With fast food quickly integrating itself into American diets, more and more meatpacking factories emerge to satisfy the supply. The regular jobs in these factories are already very dangerous, involving sharp tools, heavy animals, and unsanitary working conditions. The factory workers are at risk of lacerations, amputations, skin diseases, muscle and nerve damage, and death (Compa). Annually, more than a fourth of slaughterhouse workers, around forty thousand people, suffer from work-related injuries or diseases that require treatment beyond first aid. These statistics are most likely an understatement, because many injuries go unreported (Schlossner).
While I was researching a topic to use for my Unit 6 assignment and to create an outline for Unit 5’s discussion board post, I had found a rather drab, watered down article about gaming and how it was shaping “us” as a societal whole. With a yawn and a sigh, I decided to research more on the validity of some of the points made. Well, in the process, I happened upon an interesting article dealing with how video games are implemented into cognitive flow.
