Create a Professional Learning Plan. Include the following criteria in your plan:
Answer the following inquiry questions:
❏ Which specific CSTP element will drive your J-Factor Inquiry focus? List the specific standard element.
The standard I chose to drive this cycle is Standard 1 CSTP: Engaging and Supporting All Students in Learning Element 1.4 – Using a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to meet students’ diverse learning needs.
❏ Where am I now? In regards to your chosen CSTP and current level of teacher and student joy, where are you now? Describe your current reality.
As a new teacher it is very important to stick to curriculum and follow it closely to understand the the scope and sequence,

In order to increase the J factor I am going to incorporate both drama, song, and dance, and fun and games into my lesson. I will ensure all students success by including sentence frames, progress monitoring, and teacher observations. I am convinced the special population students will benefit the most if engagement is increased.
The Lesson- I will be teaching point of view and perspective. Through this lesson students will be expected to identify the point of view of stories based on clue pronouns. We started this lesson by taking notes on four different point of views and the clue pronouns associated with each point of view. Then we discussed stories we have read and their point of view. Finally we ended the lesson with a writing assignment where each student had a picture and they had to write a story about the picture in first person, second person, and third person limited and omniscient. The following day the first assessment was given. The next week we reviewed the lesson adding the J factor to it. I created a prezi reviewing our notes taken the week before, this included a fun point of view song by flocabulary. Then we played a mingling game. Each student has a card with a passage from well-known novel, poem, or story. Their job was to mingle around the classroom and when the singing stop the first person they saw was their partner. They were expected to read their card to the

I will assess the impact of joy on student achievement through an online assessment given after general instruction and then a similar assessment after interactive lesson.

This task should be fun and interesting for the students. It is my hope that this activity proves to be successful for my students and helps them to understand the necessary learning objectives set forth.
Educators have to consider how to implement curriculum, instruction, management, and technology in the classroom. Educators also have to provide an environment where all children feel safe and nurtured. When creating a course of action, educators have to consider their role, as well as the role of the student, parent, and community. The first thing an educator has to consider is the curriculum students should be taught. Educators must use the common core standards for ELA and Math, as well as the Georgia Performance Standards for Science and Social Studies.
I thought this video was going to be very difficult, though we have been practicing it all semester. Once my partner and I got together to do this project I became more comfortable. I went over my weaknesses and my strengths on the previous group sessions and figured out what I need to work on and what I do well at.
Applying principles in curriculum, such as: balance, rigorou, coherent, vertical, integrate, appropriate, focuse and relevant make curriculum transparent and effective. These making clear of purpose of my curriculum in educational and sociological terms, being easy to understand and applied in measurable way. And I can say that learning is planned, ideas is introduces and learning is experienced.
An individual learning plan should be designed separately for each learner, the organisation, we (teachers) and learners are all involved in producing the plan. It should contain outcomes of diagnostic tests, learner’s prior experiences qualification, long term goals, medium term goals, Short term goals and negotiated action plans to complete the program and any support needed. The purpose of an individual learning plan is to create a well planned ‘tailor made’ programme of activities for each learner that meets their individual needs and aspirations. An affective learning plan is used regularly as a working document to which the learner, the workplace supervisor and the trainer regularly refers. It is reviewed and revised to reflect the learners

In an identified video in ATLAS (Case #876), the language arts teacher did a great job in assessing her students. In this video, the students were analyzing the mental images in the poem “Loo-Wit”. The language arts teacher learning goal for the instruction was to allow the students to hear each other’s viewpoints about the poem. The students should be able to offer their own ideas with evidence so that other students can clarify and help the group’s progress. The teacher assessed the students by having a whole-group discussion. She allowed different students to share their perspectives about the poem based on the questions she asked. She assessed them on multiple-level questions about text to aid comprehension. The main assessment was seeing
Professionally, I have stretched the limits of my own comfort zone, through embracing changes in curriculum and education and pursuing further learning opportunities. I am proud that although I have become a veteran teacher on my staff, I am the educational technology teacher. I trouble shoot various technological issues within our school and I have expan...
Taking the time to reflect on one’s career can increase self-awareness and enhance professional development. A career development plan is a confidential and integral document created by an individual which outlines the activities undertaken during their life. Hence, a professional development plan documents goals and skills required to accomplish dreams and aspirations. Moreover, a professional development program is reminiscent of ones’ past experiences and a glance at the future. Having a professional development plan in place is critical for graduate study to keep track of one’s progression. The principal purpose of a developmental plan is to give a description of my educational and professional background as well to explore my personal goals as it relates to my profession growth and development.
Curriculum is the organized framework that explains the content that children are to learn, the processes through which children achieve the identified curricular goals, what teachers do to help children achieve these goals and the context in which teaching and learning occur. The best curriculum for early childhood teacher is developmentally appropriate curriculum that allows teachers to set-up an effective learning environment for children.
This standard expresses the importance of supporting students so they can meet higher standards. Teachers will support students by having knowledge of all of the different areas of teaching and with a strong curriculum that targets everyone. I understand how important it is to help my students meet their personal learning goals through my teachings. I will be organized and simple english and instructions in each and all of my lesson plans. I will also take into consideration the different backgrounds that my students will have and how that may impact the way they learn.
In the classroom teachers need to be flexible to put in to practice many different
Curriculum Differentiation One of the most urgent challenges teachers face today is creating a classroom environment where all students are simultaneously engaged in meaningful activities. Too many times students may either become lost as the teacher continues on with the lesson or the material may not be advanced enough, thus becoming boring for students. The implementation of curriculum differentiation is a sustainable solution to this prevalent dilemma. In some parts of the world, the teacher will come into the classroom, write the title of the lesson on the board, and ask one of the students to read aloud as the rest of the class listens. When the student finishes reading, the lesson is considered to be taught.
Through the implementation of my lesson, I learned I have to work on the assessment and the details of lesson planning. During the planning of this lesson, the assessment was an aspect that needed more thought. The students had a problem with reading the words for the word sort and understanding the writing section. If I were to reteach the lesson I would add pictures to the words on the word sort to help the students to read and understand the words. In addition, I would include a sentence strip for the assessment that the students could copy but then finish the sentence on their own. The writing prompt was too hard for the students, I received various answers some students copied the prompt only while other students understood it and wrote appropriate answers.
The second step in developing an engaging lesson is to focus on the instructional strategies used to help the students understand the material. It is at this point, the teacher decides what activities they will use to help address the “big ideas” or the “essential questions”.
