Ideology of the author:
The author here is pro Putin. The author puts Putin's macho image in a positive light by describing this incident where he saves a TV crew from a Siberian tiger. This incident also possibly forms an image of Putin being a saviour of the people and nature.
On the other hand the other role, the Siberian tiger, expressed the environmental conservation achievements that have occurred in Russia. This leads us to the other ideology of the author in this article. The ideology is that Putin and the Russian government that he leads have made great and fruitful efforts on the morally valued issue of environmental protection and remains cooperative with the West on this issue even though Russia had been criticizing the wrongdoings of the West in Georgia.
The following analysis shows how the above ideologies were identified:
Putin is the main focus of the article and is illustrated positively:
Most of the sentences involve Putin. Where Putin is mentioned, he is the subject of the sentence. Being the subject, he is put into focus of the reader. The voice of these sentences are mainly active which directs responsibility towards the agent, Putin. Of which most are positive events, thereby crediting Putin. For example:
i. Headline: Russia's Putin saves TV crew from Siberian tiger
ii. "Putin quickly shot the beast and sedated it..."
iii. "Putin... saved our television crew."
iv. "He (Putin) helped measure the Amur tiger's incisors..."
v. "Putin ... scrapped plans for an Olympic village near Sochi that could have damaged local flora and fauna."
(Example iv is positive as the "damage" shows the serious consequences that could have followed if plans were not scrapped by Putin)
Adding to this, the choice...

...ecently been seriously criticizing (seen from the metaphoric use of "lambasting", which means whipping or beating) the West over Georgia. The word lambasting also frames the West as the wrongdoers of the events in Georgia as "the West" is the object of the verb "lambasting".
This is followed later by "Putin thanked Western researchers for being involved in programs to save the Amur tigers." This suggests that Putin is not anti-West since aid for and cooperation in nature conservation was welcomed and Russia was grateful for such acts as the verb "thanked" forms a frame where the Subject "Putin" appreciates the object "Western researchers" for something well done.
The use of "lambasting" and "thanked" suggests Putin's attitude towards the West where he appreciates beneficial acts from the West even though he was critical of the previous wrongdoings of the West.
To begin with, it is very important to bring up media bias and the news representations of war. As some may know, "during times of war when the government puts pressure on the media to support its pro-war stance and help to mobilize public support in their readers, viewers, and listeners. (Edkins, Zehfuss 157, 158). This phrase is essentially explaining that the news media many of the times will present a biased opinion for their government during times of war, but in this case an escalated crisis within Ukraine, where the actions and risks are still being considered by all countries. Why this is important to bring up, is because this paper may contain several news articles sources from such countries that may present a biased opinion against Ukraine and Russia. However, this will not necessarily sway the momentum of the paper to provide an anti-Russian perspective. That is not the point of the paper. It is still very possible for the media to argue against the media bias of the...
This was, of course, only a humorous exaggeration, a case of political satire. Yet beneath the humor, there lies a very profound testament to the belief that Russia's political culture has been inherited from its czarist days and manifested throughout its subsequent development. The traditions from the pre-Revolution and pre-1921 Russia, it seems, had left its brand on the 70-years of Communist rule. The Soviet communism system was at once a foreign import from Germany and a Russian creation: "on the one hand it is international and a world phenomenon; on the other hand it is national and Russian…it was Russian history which determined its limits and shaped its character." (Berdyaev, "Origin")
In this scene it portrays propaganda because it’s all about humanizing the enemy. .In this scene he starts to write to his wife about resigning. Saying that he wishes to forget about everything he has faced as a policeman. He wants to be a kid again. He feels disgusted and he even lets jed escape instead of killing him and finishing him. He starts to show more sympathy against his opponent and wants to give up on this “revolution” and come home to his wife. This also demonstrate how Russia is being portrayed as a weak country that can’t move
Vladimir Putin is the elected president of the Russian Federation. The former member of the KGB is known to some as a torturer, a tyrant, and a murderer and is known to have plans to recreate the Soviet Union. While saying that letting Crimea become a part of Russia is giving in to Putin’s communist ideals, Crimea is largely Russian, and is not strategically important to the European Union’s goals. Yanukovich’s (The former Prime Minister of Ukraine) security forces fired upon and killed dozens of protestors. He was ousted ...
With the fall of the pro-Russian government Russia had lost basically a very important ally to the European Union and NATO. President Vladimir Putin took a great risk and invaded Crimea that resulted in strong reactions from the West. Even Russia’s closest allies supported the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
...his audiences’ trust and emotional appeal to the situation. Zakaria states that the people of Russia would rather see Gregiev be their leader, someone who would stand up for human rights and treat everyone equally, not someone who discriminates.
...today about Russia and or Germany come from their ideas about Stalin and Hitler, many misconceptions that can be addressed in this book, many things that we may have laid at the feet of this great people because of their leaders . The Russian people were bound by laws and the people in power, it is made clear in Brandenberger’s writing that the people were good and loved their country/
Developments between the two countries progressed after the 2009 G20 summit as well. In fact, during the 2012 Seoul Nuclear Summit, US President Barack Obama was overheard on camera assuring Russian President Medvedev that he will have “more flexibility” in his second term, to which Medvedev replied, “I will transmit this information to Vladimir”. Although, this was in regards to anti-missile defense, it clearly showed the calm relation to happen in Obama’s second term.
Insightfulness is a key trait of President Putin. His understanding of the neoconservative foreign policy of the United States has led him to the conclusion that watching another legitimate government fall at the hands of CIA backed terrorists is a crime which must be
With humble beginnings, as Vladimir himself put it in his autobiography, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin was born October 7th, 1952, within St. Petersburg, Russia. Raised by his mother Maria, who was a factory worker, and his father Vladimir, who was a conscript. Putin was dead set on joining the KGB, the Committee for State Security. In his autobiography he says he was “a pure and utterly successful product of Soviet patriotic education.” But he also says that most of this “notion of the KGB came from romantic spy stories” In short, he never knew what he was getting into. To follow...
He feels less ashamed than Lenina and doesn't mind making sneaky comments. He seems amused and takes the situation at the second degree. He humiliates lenina
The Siberian tiger is a solitary animal, preferring to travel and hunt alone or with a small pack. This animal lives in mountainous regions and heavily forested areas.
This war has given rise to a huge influx of racial hatred that has again helped Putin. Because the majority of the Chechen’s are Muslim, and not of the same ethnic background as Russians, racial discrimination has helped to boost the wars popularity and subsequently Putins. The security of oil in the southern Caucasus states and its transportation routes are the main influential factors in the...
Russia contains many different trade routes and is looking to expand its trans-Siberian railway to open up even more. There are also many different boundaries, a large amount of these are in the Northwestern, Central, Southern, Volga, and lower portions of the Urals, and Siberian areas. Populated areas contain most of the sustainable structures. It also includes 26 protected sites of World Heritage. These are found in the northwest mainly, but also found throughout Russia. Capabilities in Russia are lower than most other countries as the climate and terrain pose the issue of making most of the country not ideal for saving, enhancing, or sustaining life.
