How many of you have tried Chinese food? Most of you have tried Chinese food at least once, but not many of you have traveled to China. Nowadays most people think that China is better than America, but in reality, America is far better than China. America is better than China regarding a job opportunity, freedom, and friendliness. Not surprisingly, one area in which America is better than China is a job opportunity. When it comes to a job opportunity, no one can beat America and China. Like America, China also has more job opportunity; however, America is better because it has a wide variety of opportunity. For example, according to my Chinese friend Chen most people in China work in a factory. On the other hand, American people work in different fields like a farm, retail store, and healthcare. Also, America has a better quality of job opportunity than China. For example, workplaces are safer …show more content…
America is the only country that taught the whole world what freedom is. People in America can do whatever they want, as long as they respect other people’s right. While China has freedom, America do it better concerning freedom because American constitution gives the citizen the freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition. Even though Chinese constitution guarantees the freedom of expression to the Chinese citizen, many things censored by the government. For instance, the Chinese government has banned Dalai Lama images. Also, freedom of religion and press are treated as Chinese government treats free speech. For example, YouTube and many other websites blocked in China; China does not allow foreign reporters to cover Tibetan protests, and according to my Chinese Professor Li Liu, Chinese government jailed thousands of monks in Tibet. On the other side, America government guarantees freedom to not only American citizens, but it also guarantees freedom to illegal immigration and legal
Chinese restaurants have some good and bad qualities, but both do well in their own situation.
Growing up in the American education system, I always took my education for granted. My mother would always say, “You know how much people would want to be in your place and go to school?” In Chinese culture, education is the only way to achieve upward social mobility and leave the poor social economic class; whether you are rich or poor, you must have education and go to school. Education is not equal for everyone so how can one play the game when it is set up against you. Education is based on the resources that are offered in the area, thus if you live in a poor area, you get fewer resources. When the One Child policy was passed, it helped because all the family’s resources are focused on one child but the child is the only one to take care
What makes America great? To many it is the idea that everyone has an equal shot. Everyone is allowed the same chance at glory. But recently our way of life has come under fire by our own elected leader, Donald Trump. Our president has written in an executive order banning the immigrations of all citizen from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia. This goes against everything we have fought for, and our morals as americans. And when our morals are in check, we have to make our voices heard. We must show the world what we believe in, revolt and not let go until our country is better than it was before. It is this never ending fight that defines the greatest countries, and we are not going to let ourselves slip. Donald Trump’s travel ban wrong, not only morally but it is also illegal, unconstitutional, and most importantly against our beliefs as americans.
China is the story of a County that tried to contain their citizens from the outside world, tried to make the people work for basically no pay, set up inhuman laws, and other terrible deeds. But the scary thing is that they got away with it. The government is too powerful to be questioned and it will stay that until people find out about these . That is the only way China will be a fair and just country.
...lems in the U.S. Some of the problems they faced was the fact of them couldn’t speak English, that made it harder for them to cooperate with Americans. And that’s one of the reasons why they had Chinatowns. Chinese people had brought many different kinds of customs to America, such as food, technology, and festivals. They have introduced many variety of food to the United States such as Chinese fried rice, egg roll, and many more. Also they have introduced many popular festivals such as lantern festival, and dragon and lion dances which is basically Chinese people who dresses in huge dragon and lion dances. One of Chinese success stories is the fact they have been a big factor of the United States. Most of the inventions that we have now were created by Chinese people. For example, the compass it was created by Chinese, they also invented paper and printing, and toys.
Chinese education is depend on the population of China and National Higher Education Entrance Examination. Compare to China, where students have no choice but well perform well on test to be attend to college. American students have more choice to college such as community college or going to four year college after high school. Even though, American education is not doing well now, but there still has some good advantages. Therefore, America can keep their good advantages and creative new way to improve their education system. It better than emulate other countries education
We have some of the best technology; medicine; schools; military troops; talent; and entertainment such as movies, music, and sports. Many of the best inventions on earth -from the television to the airplane to even fast food- were made in our great nation. Our great country has possessed some of the most outstanding intellect on the planet, such as Albert Einstein and Benjamin Franklin. America is a land of ideas and opportunity in which these marvelous ideas may become reality.
The very first important development for a successful country is to have a respectable education system for those who need it from the first day they are born into the world. We have to instill what we want in our people to reflect how we want our to development to appear. In china their school system has more of a strict structure for example, at Harbin Number One High School; students begin school at 7:00 a.m., and remain until 8:20 p.m. The seniors, preparing for their final examinations, stay later, even until 10:00 at night.(Rybak) In a Chinese school the day are much longer than an American school day. This means that Chinese student spend a lot more time in school which bring us to conclusion that Chinese are more advantaged then the American student in long run. This prepares them for college or even the young adult can be bio-lingual. Most American student usually attends school for seven hours each weekday and may forget what they have learned because it in instilled into the young adults’ heads like the Chinese do with their students.
As the US promise the residents with a more favourable government than the others, it is considered as a more desirable dwelling. Being a self-governed federal republic government in which power is split between the federal government which includes the executive, judicial, and legislative branches and the individual states along with the local government, the United States’ citizens are governed by a very thoughtful government. With this type of government, the citizens are able to vote as a majority of who will represent them which creates equality by taking into consideration all of the citizens’ opinions. But, in China, the president is elected by votes from the high ranking government officials and not by the people. This process is not very honorable as the candidates for president can start to bribe the officials to vote for them thus making it so that the government is corrupt. Iran is a Theocratic Republic thus creating perversion of theocracy by ranking leaders, subjecting the people, and stifling their creativity and freedom. The aforementioned does not create a very amicable governm...
China is a communist country, whose citizens face many difficult situations while trying to fight for their human rights. According to the “Freedom Rankings” from the database CountryWatch, China is not a free country. Specifically, the Political Rights and Civil Liberties are in their maximum numbers; this means that these rights are confiscated from the people. Therefore, freedoms of press, expression, speech, religion, and movement are all severely limited in China. The government has also kept a close watch on art in China.
China in the only country that even comes remotely close to us at 11.7 trillion dollars for their GDP. This staggeringly great number makes the United States a powerhouse in the global markets.
The issue on illegal immigrants has been facing America over so many years “What is illegal immigration? This is the migration of foreigners to a country who are not legally eligible to migrate or extend their stay for more than a given period yet they refuse to leave. According to the United States Department of Home Security, people involved in illegal immigration are those non US residents who either crossed the borders without inspection or people who are given visas to stay for a while but instead of leaving, they overstay.” There is no reliable count of illegal immigration. Of course, people coming into the United States illegally are trying to avoid detection. The best indicator available is the number of people arrested
From the beginning of their establishment, the bilateral relations between the United States of America and China have changed throughout the time. The bilateral relations of the two countries emerged from 1970’s with the ‘Ping-Pong’ diplomacy and there have been many pauses in their mutual relations. The US and China enjoyed cooperation in economic and military spheres and the mutual relations grew massively during until the end of 1990’s. The heads of the two states began visiting each other’s countries and the economic ties were tightening year by year. However, the issues of human rights and free speech declined mutual Sino-American relations. The American principle of democracy promotion and human rights protection minimized the Sino- American relations after the Tiananmen Square events in 1989, the US Presidents-George Bush and Bill Clinton- playing a key role in determining the further American foreign policy towards China.
In the race to be the best, China is clearly outperforming the United States. China has strong economic fundamentals¬ such as “a high savings rate, huge labor pool, and powerful work ethic” (Rachman, Gideon. "Think Again: American Decline). Their economy has grown an astonishing 9-10% over the past thirty years; almost double of what it used to be decades ago. China is also the “world’s greatest manufacturer and its greatest market” (Rachman). The continuing growth of China's economy is a source of concern for not only the U.S. but surrounding nations as well. One could argue that the U.S. need not worry about China’s growth because of the spread of globalization and that western ideologies would influence China to turn to democracy. Yet China has still managed to “incorporate censorship and one party rule with continuing economic success” (Rachman) and remains a communist country. Hypothetically, even if China does resort to a democratic state, this does not gua...
Globalization’s history is extremely diversified and began during the beginning of civilization. Now we live in a world that is constantly evolving, demanding people to use resources in locations that are very difficult to obtain certain resources. This could make it completely impossible to operate in these specific parts of the world. However, globalization allows people across the world to acquire much needed resources. Globalization creates the opportunity for businesses to take advantage and exploit the ability to take part of their business to a different country. Nevertheless, globalization is part of today’s society and will be involved in virtually all situations.
