Arnold Schwarzenegger said in his speech at the Republican National Convention in 2004, “Everything I have, my career, my success, my family, I owe to America.”, meaning that he was able to be where he was then as the Governor of California because of his choice to move to America in 1968. Samsung should expand its business into America corresponding to Schwarzenegger’s words. Samsung employees will want to move to America and not China or Iran because of the consideration of the citizen’s rights by the Bill of Rights and the propitious laws that provide impartiality to the people. Furthermore, the peoples’ representation by the government.
As the US promise the residents with a more favourable government than the others, it is considered as a more desirable dwelling. Being a self-governed federal republic government in which power is split between the federal government which includes the executive, judicial, and legislative branches and the individual states along with the local government, the United States’ citizens are governed by a very thoughtful government. With this type of government, the citizens are able to vote as a majority of who will represent them which creates equality by taking into consideration all of the citizens’ opinions. But, in China, the president is elected by votes from the high ranking government officials and not by the people. This process is not very honorable as the candidates for president can start to bribe the officials to vote for them thus making it so that the government is corrupt. Iran is a Theocratic Republic thus creating perversion of theocracy by ranking leaders, subjecting the people, and stifling their creativity and freedom. The aforementioned does not create a very amicable governm...

The pool of opportunity has grown smaller from what it once was, and it seems that opportunity parallels the wealth in capitalist America—a small number of individuals are successful in their endeavors, and the rest must settle for less with disappointment and disillusionment. While hard work and perseverance may push individuals to new heights, the power of optimism and positive thinking can only take a person so far. The great American dream and frontier is only available to those with certain circumstances, and those circumstances are becoming less available to the new generation coming into the
In my opinion, it is not completely appropriate to compare our government with the one that Lao-tzu suggests. When comparing two things together, the factors that affect the issue must stay equal. To illustrate, the fact that Lao-tzu wrote this book hundreds of years ago and his audience was people in his time, disobey the comparison between his ideas and ours. In addition, he was partly practicing a religion –Taoism which was popular at the time. However, his book is not only about a religion, but about moral behavior and a guide in which how to wisely rule as well. As a result, it would be reasonable to discuss what he would like about us and what ...
America is not the illustrated land of opportunity to all. The statement provided that, a land giving opportunity to all is judgmental for many concerning reasons. For one, America is known as a country where people of various races are informed of great dreams that seem reachable, but the chances of an immigrant moving to America and starting a new life are slim. Throughout American history, the opportunity to create something has always been difficult and will sincerely remain that way no matter the sacrifices a person must give up on in their life.
America, “The Land of the Free”, “The Home of the Brave”, “The Melting Pot”, “The Land of Milk and Honey”, “The Land Across the Pond”, “The Western World”, “Uncle Sam”, and most importantly “The Land of Opportunity”. America is still “The Land of Opportunity” because there is much more freedom in America than most other countries. There are no caste systems to limit what someone who is in America can do. Additionally an American’s destiny is created by his/her own choices, not the choices of his/her family or peers. America is a country founded by immigrants for immigrants, and although the Land of Opportunity has suffered an economic crisis in the last decade, it still maintains its reputation for being the greatest country in the world. The United States is still “The Land of Opportunity” because there are no caste systems, one’s destiny is made by his/her choices, and American freedoms are a part of everyday life.

China is a communist country, whose citizens face many difficult situations while trying to fight for their human rights. According to the “Freedom Rankings” from the database CountryWatch, China is not a free country. Specifically, the Political Rights and Civil Liberties are in their maximum numbers; this means that these rights are confiscated from the people. Therefore, freedoms of press, expression, speech, religion, and movement are all severely limited in China. The government has also kept a close watch on art in China.
Ronald Reagan once said, “America is too great for small dreams.” Reagan's words, though short, are extremely powerful. America is indeed a great nation. Our flag is a symbol of freedom and a place where people can start a brand new life. America has given many things to my generation. Two of the most crucial gifts are our independence and rights. In this essay, I will talk about the importance of those two aspects.
Unlike America, authoritarian governments inherit or take their power. This means that the citizens of that country have no say in who governs them. This causes huge problems in the politics. Being able to take the power, makes the government more susceptible to corruption. In the United States, we practice democracy; which means that we elect our leaders. Democracies

Interests: China’s leaders desire to improve their nation’s economy while preserving political stability. They want to censor political discussions to prevent “westernization” of China,
From the beginning of their establishment, the bilateral relations between the United States of America and China have changed throughout the time. The bilateral relations of the two countries emerged from 1970’s with the ‘Ping-Pong’ diplomacy and there have been many pauses in their mutual relations. The US and China enjoyed cooperation in economic and military spheres and the mutual relations grew massively during until the end of 1990’s. The heads of the two states began visiting each other’s countries and the economic ties were tightening year by year. However, the issues of human rights and free speech declined mutual Sino-American relations. The American principle of democracy promotion and human rights protection minimized the Sino- American relations after the Tiananmen Square events in 1989, the US Presidents-George Bush and Bill Clinton- playing a key role in determining the further American foreign policy towards China.
In the race to be the best, China is clearly outperforming the United States. China has strong economic fundamentals¬ such as “a high savings rate, huge labor pool, and powerful work ethic” (Rachman, Gideon. "Think Again: American Decline). Their economy has grown an astonishing 9-10% over the past thirty years; almost double of what it used to be decades ago. China is also the “world’s greatest manufacturer and its greatest market” (Rachman). The continuing growth of China's economy is a source of concern for not only the U.S. but surrounding nations as well. One could argue that the U.S. need not worry about China’s growth because of the spread of globalization and that western ideologies would influence China to turn to democracy. Yet China has still managed to “incorporate censorship and one party rule with continuing economic success” (Rachman) and remains a communist country. Hypothetically, even if China does resort to a democratic state, this does not gua...
America is the greatest nation in the world. That is a sentence that has been stated many times by many different people, for many different reasons. Whether those reasons are militarily related, based on global political influence, or even economically. However one reason that this statement is repeated over and over again is the fact that America is the “land of opportunity”, a place where anyone can come, work hard and make something of themselves. No matter your age, race, religion, gender or creed, in America you have the opportunity to make something better for yourself and your family. However this ability, this “American Dream” is under attack. Not only is it under attack, it is under attack from within, from our own citizens. The motto of America seems to be changing, from “the land of opportunity”, a place you can work your way to prosperity, to the land of giving, a place where you can lounge yourself through life on someone else’s dime.
America is so-called “the land of opportunity”, which makes the country a whole. Being a whole displays a positive
