We Have the Right to Own Guns
What is a gun’s true purpose? There is not really a right or wrong answer because guns can be used for all sorts of things, so our society should not be punished because a small percentage of gun owners use them for wrong. Citizens of the United States have the right to bear arms due to the second amendment; it is not fair to take this privilege away from everyone due to specific people’s actions. Firearms have played a primary role in America since day one, which means that the sales from guns have a substantial impact on our government's income. In 2016, we already have numerous laws pertaining to the ownership of firearms such as criminal background checks and appropriate licenses in order to shoot them, but we do not need more restriction because of: some people’s actions, our right to bear arms, and the economic impact the firearm industry has on our country.
Radicals have been in opposition to the new sales of firearms and the ownership of them all together; these protesters blame the recent violent killings on the fact that any citizen is able to own guns. In the most …show more content…

Many people, including the government, believe that the solution to this problem is to eliminate guns rather than punishing the people for their actions. Even if the government were to put a restriction on the ownership of firearms, accidental deaths still occur and there’s no form of prevention. Considering the fact that approximately 88,000 people die annually due to alcohol related incidents, should we punish the alcohol just like the government wants to punish the guns (Alcohol)? We as human beings have the ability to control ourselves from making bad choices and acting out of control; therefore, we should have the decency to act mature with materialistic items such as guns and
