Argumentative Essay (The Outsiders) In the outsiders Ponyboy and Johnny Cade which are from a gang the (Greasers) and Johnny Cade being Ponyboy's best friend find themselves in a fight with one of the members of the other gang Bob who is from the (Socs). This ends in a tragic situation. Johnny stabs bob and causes him to die. Ponyboy and Johnny Cade are now in a terrible problem and without knowing what to do they go out hiding. This may sound like if Johnny is guilty but I say that he is innocent of murder because he didn’t stab Bob on purpose, he was just trying to stop Bob from killing Ponyboy and here are the reasons why he is innocent. Johnny is innocent because first of all he wasn’t the one that started the fight. Bob, Randy, and three other members of the Socs confronted them because they saw that their girlfriends were talking to Ponyboy and Johnny. Bob and his gang waited for them at the park of the neighborhood to fight them. Bob tries to drown Ponyboy in a fountain and when Johnny sees that, he gets scared because that reminded him of the last time that Bob had jumped him so bad. Johnny stabs bob accidentally because he didn’t know what to do. Johnny was scared and frighten and that impulsed him to kill bob. …show more content…

This shows that he doesn’t feel good for killing Bob even though they were gang rivals. He also knows that he killed Bob accidentally and will wait what the police will say about his crime. Johnny also knows that he wont be able to keep up with his life without telling the truth. He also knows that he stabbed Bob only because he needed to save his friends
