Ashley Frye Mr. Kane English Composition 1 Essay #2 February 14, 2014 Supernatural I feel that the world wants us to believe that something else is out there. Always throughout life, movies and stories have been made about a supernatural life. Many so called true events have been turned into top films about a supernatural life, including the Exorcist and The Fourth Kind two movies that both have encounters with another life. The devils hour three am is always when an encounter occurs. People have made many claims and accusations that they have seen a ghost or have been haunted by something. With all the claims individuals have made there has yet been any evidence leading more than what that person has to say. People have been making movies about supernatural life from all of time. Religion plays a big part in believing in another life because Catholics believe ghosts are from the devil. Individuals tend to believe that if someone has a horrible death their sprit will come back to haunt others because of the suffering they went through. There is a variety of stories that have been made into top scary movies from through out the year. The exorcist was one of the big movies that were talked about worldwide after being in theaters in 1973. The movie made $18.2 million on its opening last weekend. Through out the years the truth to the story has changed into what really happened and exaggerations. Emily Rose the main character of the movie was being posed by demons, they would bring people in to try and heal her. Intense shaking and seeming loss of control over her body led doctors to diagnose her with grand mal seizures. Emily began to get a little dangerous that she started attacking family members. Our aliens just not trying to contact the whole populations because they are trying to figure out how they are going to take over the world. Or are aliens always going to be a secret that they want to keep a mystery and have earth and where they are from two separate places never to come in contact. I wonder how aliens became so intelligent; I wonder when they will make their big appearance to us showing us evidence. I wonder when they will make the time to communicate with us and tell us all about the many questions we have. Such as what do they want from us? What do they want to happen from here on? How long have you been here? Where exactly have you come from? I believe though that the government has more information about aliens. That aliens have tried to contact them but we have not understood yet what they exactly want from us.
Ever look up at the sky and just wonder if there is life anywhere else? Have you seen anything in the sky that is almost unexplainable? What if your thoughts really came true? The thought of the existence of aliens seems to have been around since the beginning of time. There is one incident in particular that really hits home when talking about the subject, the UFO incident of Roswell, New Mexico.
How many people who believe in the paranormal have you met? Probably a few, right? A good majority of the population believes in the paranormal, whether the reason for it is religion or actual experience, or otherwise. A lot of people, though, actually believe in the paranormal as a result of it being popularized by the media (CSICOP 3). Whenever the public finds a case even mildly out of the ordinary, like accounts of hidden realms or sightings of a ghost, it leads up to a sudden boom of believers (CSICOP 3). Among these are the few that dare to adventure this world of information we know nothing about; this world is the paranormal (SV;SV). Some of these could be psychic mediums, or fortunetellers, who are usually written off as crazy. There are also those called paranormal researchers. They investigate the paranormal to try to find a reasonable explanation for sightings or hauntings. It is a pseudoscience; the paranormal is seen as this because there hasn’t been any “valid” proof of its existence (GS;SS). Many of these people only aim to make paranormal researching a valid science. The fact is that it’s heavily influenced by colorful and flamboyant believers, reducing its credibility, so to speak, but as technology and attitudes in America have changed, so too has paranormal research.
Horror Films. During the late 1800’s there were two extremely short silent films that began the addiction of gothic horror. The earlier of the two was an eighteen second long film entitled The Execution of Mary Stuart which was produced by Thomas Edison in 1895. There is much debate over the matter of this film actually classifying as the first horror movie because of its short duration. (Trick Films)
Do you ever consider the idea of the aliens visiting the Earth? If so, would that mean that there is a possibility of aliens coming to earth thousands of years ago? What proof is there to support this theory? For years, researchers have been finding surprising pieces of evidence for this theory, such as ancient religious texts, possible interactions with humans, artwork from ancient cultures of strange creatures, ancient artifacts from around the world, or evidence from the Bible.

Unnatural Cause analyses the factors which can influence the US population‘s health. The film illustrated several families in order to show how their health is influenced depend on different circumstances. The film is supported by the use of survey research which it is a sociological method to gather data. Additionally, the film gives proved sources showing that The US invests billions of dollars on health but still millions of people die every day. A few popular event are, The Amityville Haunting: this story was about a young man named Ronnie Defeo, he lived in the basement of his family’s home. (3 younger siblings and 2 parents) Ronnie claimed that voices were telling him to kill his family in the house. Eventually one night he shot and killed all of them in the house while they were sleeping. He was put into prison. Years later a new family moved into the home and experienced voices and harm caused from “entities” of the house. They eventually moved out of the home because things were getting too bad. Another popular event was, The Conjuring, a family moved into a house , previously owned by a so called evil witch who hung herself in the home. This entity named Bathsheba, and many other entities took over the family and the witch eventually possessed the mother and there was an exorcism performed by Ed and Lorraine Warren (a married paranormal expert couple) on the mother. The family moved out and never returned. There are many more very creepy stories to learn about the paranormal.
Have you ever felt stuck? Wherever you are, it’s the absolute last place you want to be. In the book Into the Wild, Chris McCandless feels stuck just like the average everyday person may feel. Chris finds his escape plan to the situation and feels he will free himself by going off to the wild. I agree with the author that Chris McCandless wasn’t a crazy person, a sociopath, or an outcast because he got along with many people very well, but he did seem somewhat incompetent, even though he survived for quite some time.
We may never know what lays beyond our night sky. It may be nothing, or our Government may be hiding everything from us, perhaps our President is behind these cases as well. This is the mystery that will trouble us for generations, but using evidence such as the LA shooting back in World War II, It is easy to gleam that: Aliens, Do, Exist.
Is there such thing as life outside of Earth? The building blocks of life are carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen. Those ingredients condense to form all living things, new stars and even new planets! So, who’s to say those ingredients didn’t form other life on other planets? Think about how vast outer space is. There are millions and millions of other planets, stars and galaxies! It’s not that far out there to think that there might be other life in space, in fact, some people even have stone hard evidence that supports the idea of “aliens”. I personally believe there is such thing as extraterrestrials, and I believe they have visited earth before. As a child, I remember my dad and I would sit around all afternoon watching alien documentaries or shows about people hunting aliens and searching for UFOs. When it comes to aliens people have so many questions; have aliens been to earth before? Are they currently living on earth? Are they controlling us? Does the government know? In a recent appearance on The Ellen Show, President Barack Obama was quizzed about the subject of aliens, by a little girl. In typical Obama style, the President responded with some light humor, though, as some UFO sources are saying, did not completely deny the subject. This may, according to UFOs On Earth, “lead to many possible interpretations, or maybe not” (1).
What makes a good person good? According to WikiHow, "We should learn to define our own morals ourselves. One of the simplest ways to do so is to love others, and treat them as you would like to be treated. Try to think of others before yourself. Even doing small things daily will greatly enrich and improve your life, and the lives of others around you." This quote shows us what we need to do in order to be what society thinks as, “good". In order to be a good person, you have to do good and moral things in your society consistently. However people might think that by doing one good thing once in a while will automatically make you a “good person”, but in reality it doesn’t.
Have you ever had any paranormal experiences in your life? Did you feel like you were being watched, or see weird things? If you think you had ghostly experiences, then you might have. Only 43% percent of Americans believe that ghosts are real. The reason why I think it is that low is because many people gave false reports, and peoplestoped believing in spirits. For centuries people believed that flames turned blue in the presence of a ghost.
The thought of government cover-ups have been long discussed. The government has always, in the past, tried to keep any sign of aliens, whether it be pictures from space, to crashes on earth, to a low or nonexistent level. Just recently has the government been harassed to the point where they actually gave us clues to alien existence. It has in some ways been believed that the government has worked in partnership with popular movie directors, to produce alien movies to ease the thought that we may not be alone. Such movies as ôThe Arrivalö and the ever popular ôIndependence Dayö are very good examples of well convincing alien movies. If this is true, they did a good job, because statistics state that 75% of people today believe that there is some kind of intelligent life forms besides ourselves in the universe. Whether we choose to believe in the paranormal or not, we all have to realize that
