In the 20s and 30s, many states banned citizens to convey weapons without a license leaving the decision to the proper authorities because not everyone is allowed to carry one. In result, people started carrying hidden guns which has a direct effect on the increase of violent- crime rate. If weapons were not so easy to get then homicide and suicide rate will decrease! There is a strong relation between guns and suicide death rate because while using a gun, you won’t probably get a second chance to think clearly about the step you’re about to take. People get pissed off when you shoot them, when you are not trained and shot you will get furious plus lose focus so you’d might end up shooting yourself again, this actually happens even with cops everyone makes mistakes so that’s why training takes higher importance, getting weapons is really easy but being well trained is not. If it’s worth doing then it’s worth doing well! Not all the owners expect to use their guns they keep it hidden but whether they attempted to use it or not, they could end up in trouble with consequences that might be fatal because some situations get out of the hand and they are more likely to use it with instinct without being aware from the consequences of their rushing actions. With more power come more responsibilities! People with lack of common sense, it’s impossible for them to understand these responsibilities. Carrying a gun means that they are carrying the power of death or life and that includes a lot of responsibilities such as being extremely careful and smart to avoid social conflicts that could get serious.
