Throughout time gasoline fuel has been the major fuel used in order to power cars. Even today the majority of people who have cars they are typically gasoline powered cars. Although gasoline has been improved throughout time, the world today now needs alternatives to gasoline since it is hurting the world. The world is in need of an alternative that will help the environment. One major and successful alternative is the hybrid car.The creation of the hybrid car will greatly affect the world positively.
The way a gasoline car works is the engine is made up of cylinders where the gasoline fuel is burned. The cylinders also have tight pistons where the go upwards and downwards.Each cylinder has two valves which permits items in or out of the cylinder. The inlet valve permits fuel and air into the cylinder. Then there is the outlet valve which permits depleted gases escape. At the very top of the glass there is the sparking plug which sets fire the fuel.The piston is connected to a crankshaft which powers the vehicle.

Pollutants like these can cause major impacts such as the greenhouse effect which cause climate change. Based on the information of the traditional fuel, your major alternative is the hybrid car. A hybrid is a system which uses two different types energy in order to power a mechanism. One common hybrid the combustion engine and the electric motor. Hybrid energy can also be used to power buildings, cars, or chargers. The energy in a hybrid is conserved in the battery. Yet the cost of a hybrid car varies but is more expensive than a traditional fuel
car. The way a hybrid works in a car is somewhat different that a traditional fuel car. First of all, hybrids have two batteries. The first one is the common battery which is used in all cars.Then there is the hybrid battery which used for the electric motor that conserves the energy. There is two types of hybrids. One type is the parallel hybrid car, which uses both the electric motor and the combustion engine. Then there is the series car where the electric motor and the combustion engine are used in intervals. In the series hybrid when the car is accelerating the combustion engine is used but when the car is cruising or braking the combustion engine turns off. There are also two major models of the hybrid. There is the plug-in hybrid and the hybrid-electric. The plug-in hybrid depends more on the electric motor. Which means that the electric motor is the main power source for the vehicle. This car is more like a part time electric car thus emitting less pollutants than a traditional car. Yet a disadvantage of this car is the limited amount of recharge stations and they travel less miles because the battery drains quickly. The hybrid electric is somewhat similar to the plug in. Yet the hybrid electric’s main source is the gas engine. It also more costly in gas. Yet you don’t have to charge the battery as much since it has beneficial features such as regenerative brakes. The hybrid car can benefit you multiple ways. Hybrid cars make efficient energy and can conserve it as well. An example would be fuel cells which are banks for energy. Thus the availability of fuel and energy will increase. Hybrids also do not spread as much pollution as the traditional fuel. Another benefit the hybrid has is regenerative braking. Regenerative braking is when you brake, energy goes back into the battery. Another benefit depending on which model you buy will tell you on average what you will save in a certain amount of years. Also based on the chart, you can see the difference between the amount of money used between the hybrid and gasoline. You save on average four hundred dollars driving 15,000 miles. Yet, the hybrid car is not perfect. Depending on which hybrid you get will tell you how much power you will have. Hybrid cars are also way more expensive than the traditional fuel car.The hybrid car also has poor handling. This is because the batteries and the engines add more weight to the car which would cause fuel defficiency. Hybrids also are high maintenance. By high maintenance it means it is difficult to replace parts and repair the car. It is also difficult to find a repairman with expertise in hybrids. Another major problem is the risks you take with a hybrid. Basically, if you crash you have chance of being electrocuted. Which would also make the task more difficult for rescuer. There is a controversial issue with the hybrid car. The hybrid car is way more silent than the traditional fuel car which means pedestrians who are impaired of hearing will not hear a car coming and if they don’t check both ways then they risk being hit by the car. In conclusion, the hybrid will be the best choice between a traditional fuel gasoline vehicle. As the world is modernizing, vehicles should too. By buying this vehicle you are protecting the place you call home. In my opinion, based on this research I myself would buy this car because in the end you use less gasoline which is environmentally friendly and it also friendly to the money in your pockets.
With new diesel technology in today’s world, I think people should consider trying or using new diesel cars and trucks as well as the use of clean diesel.

In this report I will explain the fuel systems in an automobile. I will cover different parts and how they work. First thing to do is explain how the fuel system works. The purpose of the fuel system is to store and supply fuel to the cylinder chamber where it can be mixed with air then vaporized and burned to produce energy. The fuel, which can be either gas or diesel is stored in a fuel tank. A fuel pump draws the fuel from the gas tank through lines and brings it through a fuel filter. Next it goes to either a carburetor or fuel injector and then delivered to the cylinder chamber for combustion.

I believe that gas powered vehicles are better because gas powered cars have more function ability. The range that electric vehicles have is poor compared to gas vehicles. Electric vehicles don't function very well when the weather is cold. You'll need to charge your car pretty much every night. You are only going to be able to go 80 mph. If you go up a big hill your range goes down. electric vehicles (rather ev's) do pollute but they don't pollute the same way that gas cars pollute.
