Within Christianity, there is a variety of views on the topic of homosexuality. With many Christian denominations vary with their position, with condemning homosexual act as sinful, divided on the issue, and some grasp the understanding of it and honestly acceptable. Even with the denomination, groups and individuals may hold a different perspective. Furthermore, members of the church do not support their church’s view on homosexuality. Over the past century the topic Christianity and homosexuality occurs often and since it became legal for same-sex marriage there is even more commotion over this topic. It is all over the news of somebody doing something to offend the LGBTQ community or several types of the rally to eliminate same-sex marriage …show more content…

“But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So, they are no longer two but one flesh.” (Mark 10.6-8) This verse shows how God wanted us to marry the opposite sex. This is what the church was teaching us. But also some churches have different believes. Some Christians dominations don’t believe homosexuality a sin. In the article “What Do We Know of God's Will for His Lgbt Children?: an Examination of the LDS Church's Position on Homosexuality” talks about the LDS church postion on homosexuality and same-sex marriage. The article says to stay an active LDS member the homosexual people must give up the right to love the person they love and choose to live celibacy for the rest of their life.
