In this paper, I will clarify what Breast Cancer is. I will explain the symptoms, treatment options, and other useful information regarding this disease. The first thing to know about Breast Cancer is understanding what it is. According to the Cancer.org website, breast cancer begins when cells in the bosom begin to spread out of control. The tumor that is formed from these cells may be detected on an x-ray or can be felt as a lump. Malignancy can advance into neighboring tissues or trickle to distant places within the individual ("What is Breast Cancer?", n.d.).

There are a few distinct types of biopsies for checking cancer in the breast. A few requires a needle, and others an incision. ("What is Breast Cancer?", n.d.). In 2018, there are various Breast Cancer Treatment options available for breast cancer patients. These treatment options are available to Breast Cancer patients who range from having early-stage cancer to advanced breast cancer. When patients are at the point of deciding their treatments for their breast cancer, a clinical trial is often emboldened to think about as an option (“Breast Cancer-Treatment options”, 2017). It is always a good idea to get a second opinion when it comes to the plan for treatment of breast cancer. It’s so important to that a patient is sure they are comfortable with the plant of treatment for their breast cancer. As I mentioned earlier, there are various breast cancer treatment options that are available. Surgery, Chemo Therapy, Radiation Therapy, Hormonal Therapy, Targeted Immunotherapy, and clinical trials. There are also medications that can be prescribed to the patient to treat cancer-and treatment related pain (“Treatments & Side effects”, n.d.). The therapy or treatment a breast cancer patient receives is dependent on what stage cancer they have, for example, if a patient has a stage IV Breast Cancer, which is metastatic, they would be treated with therapy called Systemic Therapy.
