These are reasons that Minecraft day should be a holiday. I think that Minecraft is a good choice for a holiday is because; it has a lot of cool features. One feature is that it is one of the only sandbox games with no violence. The game Minecraft was made in 2009 and I have been playing the game since 2014. The game Minecraft is the world's second most popular game. The first version of Minecraft was made in just six days. Another fact about this Crafty Game is that the creators name is Notch as some people call him but, his real name is Markus Persson a designer and programmer. Another cool fact about this game is that the Ender man sound is actually English Reversed and pitched down and also creepers were an error with coding when making the Minecraft pig but, notch had an idea. Also did you know that the Minecraft world can only be made limited in Minecraft Pocket Edition? Those are just the start of awesome facts that Minecraft has like how the gravel and sand have gravity but dirt doesn't. This game was well made and many sand box games are coming out game by game like GTA and so on but …show more content…
That is a lot of money. Did you also know that in 2013 Minecraft had made a total of $204,000,000,000 or 204 million dollars? Did you know that you can play Minecraft for free and not on some cheep website where you might get a virus on your device but, Minecraft has a demo version for free on the Mojang website only if you login but there is a catch, to play Minecraft you would have only 100 minutes also known as five in game days until the world locks. The second catch is that demo version is available on all devices except phone and tablet also known as Pocket
There is so much that can be learned from the past. Especially from an event that was as catastrophic as this one. How does one person gain such a grip on so many people? How was he able to influence them to change their entire life’s to conform to what he wanted. Somehow he was able to get them to move to a completely new place and create a world all their (his) own. How does one person convince and force so many people that it was time for their life to end? How does he force them to kill themselves? So many questions that are still being answered to this day. There are plenty of movies and research done on this event but there is still a lot to learn.
Have you ever felt stuck? Wherever you are, it’s the absolute last place you want to be. In the book Into the Wild, Chris McCandless feels stuck just like the average everyday person may feel. Chris finds his escape plan to the situation and feels he will free himself by going off to the wild. I agree with the author that Chris McCandless wasn’t a crazy person, a sociopath, or an outcast because he got along with many people very well, but he did seem somewhat incompetent, even though he survived for quite some time.
When I was younger, my favorite game to play was Minecraft. The game was a fun way to express myself and to make decisions like “It’s getting dark, maybe I should start heading home so I can sleep in my bed and avoid the mobs” and that’s most likely why I loved the game so much. I had the opportunity to do whatever I wanted and if I made a mistake the only consequence was to press “respawn” pretty simple right? At the time, yes, but as I matured and became curious, I wondered, could an online game possibly be the definition of life? Can something so many look for yet don’t find be right in the palms of my hands? Could Minecraft, a game that is made for children be the answer to a question asked for centuries?
The definition of grit is simple; it means being passionate about long term goals, and showing stamina to pursue them, but should students in public schools have a class dedicated to a grit-focused curriculum? This has become a major topic of discussion among teachers and mentors. Angela Duckworth, a professor of psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, claims grit is not a fixed quality but one that can be developed. Many disagree with her statement. Grit is something everyone all have within themselves, but some just do not utilize this characteristic as often or as well as others. Grit is a puzzling concept. Duckworth has had an obsession with grit for over a decade. Her obsession started when she visited West Point,
Have you ever wondered how much money these guys make? Well let’s take Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. It took about 200 million dollars to produce and they sold 500 million dollars’ worth of copies. Take 500 million and subtract 200 million, 500 subtracted by 200 and that equals 300, and you get a profit of 300 million dollars! They made a lot of money and because of that they created a lot of other games.
Research Question: Are we sure enough about the alleged anthropogenic cause of climate change to embrace the uncertainties of geoengineering?
Today´s society is filled with people that only care about money and a person's profession when it comes to valuing an individual's life. Many people think that having a lot of money, college degrees, and working for a top notch business or company defines who they are, but what about the people who may not be successful in the world's view, but are happy because they are doing what they love to do ? Steve Jobs gave a commencement speech at Stanford University, in 2005, advising the graduates to follow their passions and not to listen to other people's advice about what is valuable or not. He also advised them not to waste their time living someone else’s life. Steve Jobs advocates for individuals to have the bravery to follow your
“Man masters nature not by force but by understanding. This is why science has succeeded where magic failed: because it has looked for no spell to cast over nature”. From the beginning of time man and nature has been in conflict with one another because, as a whole, there is no cooperating. Each one tirelessly wants its way. The Man is fighting for dominance and nature w never yielding its authority. In American Literature, many authors illustrate this theme in their writing. Specifically the writers Jack London in The Law Of Life, Stephen Crane The Open Boat and Mark Twain’s Huckleberry Fin. Each explores the relationship between humans and nature but with slightly different methods. Mark Twain uses nature in a realistic way, Jack London in a naturalistic way and Stephen Crane constitutes a combination of both.
Every day, more and more attempts of banning books and taking away the rights of our First Amendment get violated. The challenging of a book is the attempt to remove or restrict materials, and the banning is the removal of these materials. I believe that books should not be banned for these reasons.
What makes a good person good? According to WikiHow, "We should learn to define our own morals ourselves. One of the simplest ways to do so is to love others, and treat them as you would like to be treated. Try to think of others before yourself. Even doing small things daily will greatly enrich and improve your life, and the lives of others around you." This quote shows us what we need to do in order to be what society thinks as, “good". In order to be a good person, you have to do good and moral things in your society consistently. However people might think that by doing one good thing once in a while will automatically make you a “good person”, but in reality it doesn’t.
Time is a fixed concept; one cannot relive a moment to change a regrettable action, or escape into the future to avoid one’s problems. Many see life as a path or a road, stretching on indefinitely with countless branches to choose from as time moves forward. However, life is often better represented by a circle, beginning with life and ending with death, the path of one intersecting with those of others along the way. In The Kite Runner, Hosseini uses kite running as an extended metaphor to represent the journey of life, ultimately connecting the past and the future.
The internet has grown immensely ever since it first started around the time August of 1960 when it was just a proof of concept at MIT. Now the internet is felt like it is a necessity, we must be able to access it all of the time with our smart phones with no more that the fastest speeds possible. The idea of net neutrality is to keep the internet free, and not to priorities speeds for companies who will pay more for it. Consequentialism and the justice theory are helping fight the argument on wither it is wright or wrong. Net neutrality is an idea that needs to be keep because it gives everyone the same chance of accomplishing goals on the internet and freedom of speech.

Imagine someone born in the early 1900’s entering a modern-day classroom. They would likely be confused as to what televisions, computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices are. It is also likely that they would be overwhelmed by the instant access to information that the internet provides. Digital media has become a large part of people’s everyday lives especially with the rise of digital media in classrooms. Digital media is growing so rapidly that people who are not adapting to this shift in culture are falling behind and becoming victims of the “digital divide”, this is leaving people misinformed. Digital media has a large effect on the way that people communicate, this is especially evident in the way that students interact with
