If you see or notice that there are people making rude post on social media about someone, or threatening to hurt them then you should tell an adult because one of them or all of them may actually end up hurting Martha or making her do something to herself. If I saw something on social media that was rude about another person or that someone was saying rude things about someone then I would tell an adult, I wouldn't care if I got called a “snitch” or a “tattle tale” because if you just sit and watch someone bully another person then you are technically a part of the bullying because you are not trying to stop them you are just watching them bully the other person. If I was in the situation that this person is in where they see the bullying happening and think that they can't tell an adult or tell Martha, because they are not close enough to Martha I would talk to Martha about it because nobody deserves to be bullied online. If you are not best friends or even friends with someone and you see them getting bullied online (or even in person) then you should tell them because what if they saw you getting bullied on social media and they didn’t do anything about it then you would be upset about it, that is the same way that they feel because they are being bullied and nobody is telling them about …show more content…
You should tell an adult because if you tell an adult/teacher then they will be able to stop it instead of not telling them and it just getting worse and worse because eventually the student could do something bad, or someone could do something to them. You should also tell an adult because if you were in Martha’s place then you would want someone to tell you or to tell an adult because you would want to know if you were being bullied
Though taking immediate action is thought to be the only way to help, other methods can be used to make a difference. For example, I could report the issue of bullying to a person in an authoritative role, such as a counselor, professor, or administrator. These individuals have been trained to handle situations such as this, and most likely have more information about the students involved. Choosing this method would ensure that the conflict is resolved professionally. Another method would be to focus on the person being attacked. The effect that kindness can have on hurting people is remarkable. Befriending the individual would enhance my ability to stand up for him or her in the

Therefore they can not be protected or can defend themselves from the bully. Most of the time people are oblivious to these issues. If kids don’t speak out and talk to an adult, a guardian or a teacher; most of the time adults don’t even know this issue is happening. When writing about his childhood in Rowing the Boat, Paul Logan, who was bullied as a child, said this. “I feared humiliation so much that I became skillful at feigning illnesses to get out of gym class (Logan
It has been forty three years since the first email was delivered; since then, our ways of communication have changed. We are now living in a society in which almost everybody is provided with a piece of communicating technology to keep in touch with each other. Social networking service, a platform for people who want to share interests, activities, backgrounds or real-life connections over the Internet, has deeply affected our life in many ways. The debate as to whether the influences are positive or negative has been a controversial issue since 72 percent of all internet users are now active on social media (22 Social Media Facts and Statistics You Should Know in 2014). So, how does social media affect our lives? Speaking for myself, I think social networking is slowly damaging our everyday life by crawling into our personal life, turning into a deadly weapon, and becoming a dangerous addiction and distraction.
The best time to intervene is as soon as possible. It might take a while to identify it as bullying, but as soon as an adult can recognize that it is, they need to step in immediately. Some signs to look for are: fights or arguments in the hallways or in classrooms; particularly in the victim, seemingly more sad or depressed and a decrease performance in school work and/or grades; difficulty paying attention and completing work; disrupting class or acting out; and in extreme cases, thoughts of suicide. Teachers need to pay attention to their students and be able to notice these changes, particularly for the victims, and need to be able to offer support for both the bullies and victims. Bullying isn’t often reported because of the “state of constant fear” it puts everyone in, including the bully and the bystanders, so adults would most likely need to recognize it (Lyness).
Schools need to establish a no tolerance policy towards cyberbullying and strictly enforce it too. A victim of cyberbullying needs to try and resolve the issue on their own first, before they talk to someone or get help. Students should have the privilege of talking to someone like a teacher, that they feel comfortable around and trust. This is important thing to remember, because they need to be able to talk to someone about this when it is happening, so the teacher can put an end to the bullying that is occurring. Some students may have the fright of sharing on what is happening and this can be, for the reason that they have a fear of getting into trouble, the bullying could get worse, and no one would believe them (Hitchcock,
