Are Cell Phones Truly Safe?

In today’s society, the most popular electronic device is cell phones. From the 1940’s to 2011, cell phones have come a long way, from its capability to help individuals to keep in touch with friends and loved ones from near and far. Now and days we use them to text, im (instant message) a person, browse the internet, take pictures, email, and even transfer data. It’s amazing how far we have gotten with a device as such, fulfilling majority of our everyday needs. But can it also be putting user’s lives in a high risk of danger? There have been many issues linking cell phones to cancer, tumors, death, depression, and much more. Cell phones can produce radiation that can affect our bodies from infants to 65+. From my perspective, cell phone’s may help society communicate with others, but is truly not worth the danger that it is leading us into. Cell phones are just not safe. Radiations are powerful microwaves that can heat up our biological tissues. In our tissues there are cells that deteriorating from the heat; causing a break in our immune system and mutations. In severe cases it can lead to impairment of our entire organs; such as kidneys and liver. If you’re thinking that that’s bad, then knowing that heating tissues lead to Breakage of our genetic DNA can’t get worst. When parts of our DNA are broken, we are prone to diseases and infections at an increase rate. This gets in the mix up with our development process of birth defects and cancer. With the help of Dr. Ross Adey from California and Dr. Neils Kuster from Switzerland, the power of radiation was put to the test. Both doctors did a lab study on the effects of radiation to rats.
