Animals Must Be Protected

Animals are in many ways the same as human beings. We consider them our best freind, sibling, child, or to put it simply, we view them as being part of our family. For example, my parents have a a Pekingese puppy, whom I identify and treat as my little brother. I could never imagine what I'de do if anything were to happen to him. For these reasons, I strongly believe in the rights of animals and the need to provide them full protectionfrom violence and danger. Those who share this concern can in fact find on the internet useful information that addresses the issues of animal abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Some of these sources of information are organizations, which include, but are not limited to, the American Humane Organization (AHO) and National Animal Interest Alliance (NAIA) . The non-profit organization was first discovered in 1877 and was formed by 27 humane organizations from 10 different states to address the issues dealing with the welfare of children and animals. AHO has its headquarters in Denver, Colorado with regional offices located in Washington D.C. and in Los Angeles.

To further examine NAIA's concern for animal welfare, the website makes available an abundance of court cases, and final rulings based on those cases, dealing with animal cruelty issues, which is used for educational purposes and for creating awareness to the general public. In efforts to unite people with the same concerns, the website also provides links to other helpgul resources, including governmental links and contact information to address our government politicians. The organization constantly seeks for ways in which to keep people informed on issues pertaining to the welfare of animals. NAIA's website is a great source provider, as well as for help in providing humane services to animals.
