Have you ever wondered, what could have happened if you were the chosen one for a life changing experiment? Each year, millions of animals from all around the globe lost their innocent lives under these barbaric experimentations, many being forced to inhale toxic fumes or immobilized under hermetic confines before their deaths. Different methods of malevolent actions were often acted upon on animals throughout their biological trainings and medical experimentations. Although animal testings did provide pathways for hundreds and thousands of medical treatments, it is still often proved to be ineffective or unethical to experiment on animals for the sake of our own health. It is unethical to force innocent animals to suffer from physical restraints and deprivation of basic living necessities without any fault from their own. Like all humans, they would feel lonely when forced to live solitarily away from their families and to be caged intentionally for their whole life. According to the US Department of Agriculture, 71,370 animals were not provided anesthesia for relief during their experiments.Vast majority of animals would also experience fear and anxieties when it comes to frequent testings and experiments that requires them to sacrifice and expose physically to extreme pain. Imagine being confined under locked cages without the right to control any aspect of your life, relinquishing your body to excruciating pains at any cost regardless of how you feel. This is a typical life for an animal living in a laboratory. Admittedly, animal testings did provide various cures and improvements on a multitude of diseases such as smallpox, autism, blindness, breast cancer, blindness and many other major illnesses that are in need for a cure. Animal testing is a key to numerous medical breakthroughs with endorsements from the vast majority of biologists and health organizations. Whilst it may seem true that animal experimentation have contributed a lot to these important medical discoveries, more than a hundred million animals have been killed each year in the U.S laboratories. The abominable statistic has raised controversy on whether if it is still moral to continue experimenting on animals; deliberately taking millions of innocent lives away through trials to find the right cure and treatments.
