Analysis of the Gladiator Trailer
Trailers are important to films for a number of reasons. They promote
a film and present it to the target audience, in order to encourage
them to watch the film. Trailers also give the audience expectations
of the film. The audience like to know what to expect of a film before
they go and see it. The audience is given a taste of the story and the
basic plot. This is done by showing an array of clips that are edited
to a certain degree. The trailer normally ends with a 'cliff-hanger'.
This is a term used to explain when an audience is not told the ending
of a story. This makes them wonder in suspense as to what the possible
endings could be, therefore drawing them in to watch the film. A
voiceover is the narrator of a trailer. It connects the clips together
to help the audience understand what the film is about. If a voiceover
is not used, the trailer relies on cleverly selected dialogue of the
film, to help the trailer flow. The trailer also suggests what genre a
film is. Genre is what type of category a film falls into. For
example, comedy, sci-fi, horror. It is important to show what type of
genre a film is so the trailer will attract the right audience. If
trailers are bad the film makers will lose money because no one will
go and see the film. I f a film doesn't do well; it can't be released
again because the expense is too large. A trailer needs to include the
name of the film, the release date and the certificate rating. A
trailer can show the names of the actor/actresses, producers and
directors. This sometimes can draw the audience in if a popular and/or
good looking actor/actress is starring ...

words 'SUMMER 2000 A.D.' The letters are in white letters and stand

off at the end by the end letters associating with roman culture.
Overall I think this trailer is effective and very successful. It is a
lavish production with no expense spared. It is full of dramatic
action and fighting scenes. It is about good over coming evil and
relies heavily on action and clever dialogues to interest the
audience. It is very effective in promoting the film and interesting
the audience. It has good uses of font, colour music and dialogue. In
my opinion I think too much of the plot and the ending was give away.
This might lose some of the audience, as the already know the

target audience. At the end of the day the film has to sell and this

Even though there is a great amount of audience participation, one really has to turn your attention to the actors in the movie. It takes a special kind of person to really understand the movie they are in.
If it’s anything from a romantic comedy to an action-packed hero’s journey, movies have a psychological approach to influence the way you view certain actions. For example, when you watch a film that focuses primly on the aspect of an alleged murderer, it forces the average viewer to immediately conclude that the accused is guilty based on the acclimation of previous films. It is a slow conditioning that brings forth conflicting, yet corresponding evidence that the more you observe said influences, the greater your interpretati...
Gladiator (2000) is an action drama about a Roman general that is betrayed by his country and is forced to fight in the Colosseum. This particular scene, which runs for approximately 5 minutes, is the aftermath of the fight scene between Maximus, the betrayed general, and Commodus, the jealous emperor who betrayed him. This scene is not only significant because it is the concluding scene of the film, but also because it represents the end of Maximus’s enslavement and his coming to peace with dying.

To me the ending wasn’t much of a surprise because they were on a boat with an unknown monster, they defeat the monster and are rescued which wasn’t much of an ending. This of course doesn’t mean the book is boring, just predictable. There are also many little things that happen along the way to keep this book interesting enough to keep reading.

The president of the Motion Picture Producers and Distributers Will H. Hays asserted on how their job in the movies industry is as important as that of the clergy man or the teacher in making an impact on the child’s mind, which he described as a “clean virgin thing”, an “unmarked slate” and a “sacred thing” (Forman, 121). What the statistics of the research had shown is that 77 million people assist weekly to movies, and 1/3 of these audiences are constituted of adolescents, amongst whom 11 million are under 14 years old, who are in permanent contact with screen (Forman, 10). Among the 37% who are minor audiences, 70% and more memorize what they encounter on the screen, who will be able to remember what they see with more emphasis throughout
First of all, I would like to go over my expectations of movies in the future:
