There is a world; we are not entirely aware of, full of things and wonders we wouldn’t imagine outside of stories and book. One of the more drastic differences is the fact that there are more then one world within the world. Some lay unfinished and unventured while others control the very fabric of that world. Like, the Nether, home to creatures we would call monsters who only destroy, The Aether; which could be described as the Heaven of the world where lived the only creatures that could create things. And the Over world thrown in between the two other, and acts like such being home to both the crafters of the Aether and the destroyers of the Nether. These main three rich in danger and adventure, holding things worth smiling over and screaming over. Still there was a land feared and unknown that didn’t seem to belong, anywhere,
The End; a hostel and curl land, untouched by light. The only creatures that inhabit it are tall lanky creatures, skin strong as obsidian, gifted the unnerving power to teleport, purple eyes that seem to glow compared to their pitch black skin, the endermen. Along with their parent and protector; the oldest and most powerful creature, the Enderdragon.
When the worlds were new, all the creatures belonging to the main three worlds became intermixed and not entirely different from each other. The endermen remaining detached but watching from the shadows unnoticed by the growing civilizations.
It wasn’t long, however before the endermen became noticed. There fascination with the colors and shapes of the other worlds lead the to take the blocks they liked back to their bar world. The people waking to find holes in their houses and field, the confusion and frustration they felt again and again, fueled th...

One of the things in the opening yelled back “Are there any following?” the thing again looked annoyed. “No. It is cold out, can we hurry this up?” The larger things disappeared before reappearing carrying a platform. They threw it over the edge, suspending it by long braided cords. The thing climbed on to it as the other two lifted it higher and higher until it reached the edge. It climbed off and all three disappeared.
The enderman, seeing no other choice but to follow, focused the opening of the entrance. Closing his eyes, he felt the worpe of magic consume him, opening his eyes he walked down the hall.
Introduction: Ender is one of the main characters in this book, Ender is intelligent on and off the battlefield he is the youngest in the salamander army but he is more skillful than anyone else in the army. The book Ender’s game is written by Dr son Scott Card, This book was the Hugo and Nebula winner.
In Orson Scott Card’s novel, Enders Game, at the age of six, Ender is chosen by Colonel Graff and the International Fleet to help save mankind from the buggers. However, through his journey, he experiences manipulation and deception from significant figures that surround his life. This deceit from Colonel Graff, Valentine, and Mazor Rackham is focused on defeating the buggers in the Third Invasion.
Ender has proven himself that he is capable in all odds of being credited as the Christ Figure. He has gone through so much in his journey, from being accepted to a whole new society to being the person that everyone looks up to, Ender has given everything that he has to give to win the battle at the end of the day.
This Chapter begins with two mysterious characters having a conversation describing Ender and his two siblings. They decide that the Ender is the one they need to save the world from the buggers they say they have doubts about him just as they did about his brother and sister. The story begins with Ender a six year old boy having his monitor removed that device allows the authorities to see what he is thinking and his emotions his brother peter hates him because ender had the moni...
Through the entire story, we watch as Ender is manipulated and wronged by authority figures. He does not receive the love, affection and care that parents are supposed to deliver to their children. He is constantly being physically and mentally abused by his older brother and school bullies, yet no adult ever comes to his rescue. This pattern isn’t just apparent during his life on Earth because it continues and follows him as he moves on to battle school. A specific example of this can be seen as him and his launch group are making the journey to the school for the first time. During this trip Graft makes a show of telling all the other launchees how impressive Ender is, which results in him being repeatedly struck in the head. Not only does this authority figure fail to intervene and help Ender, but as the abuse continues Ender has a sudden realization. “Then it had become clear. Graft had deliberately caused it”(Card, 32). This example shows how someone who
In the beginning of the book, Ender is ashamed when his decisions harm others. After receiving ‘special treatment’ on his way to Battle School, Ender is being harassed
Throughout the novel, Ender gradually begins to realize that he is not so different from his brother Peter. Ender grew up being punished and beaten up just for being a third who was smarter than Peter. This explains why Ender wants nothing to do with him when he leaves home. The mind game periodically reminds Ender that he is not completely different from him through certain levels. On the first obstacle that proved difficult, he brutally
This extract emphasises the lonely, outworld feeling that would have been felt living in such settings. This puts into perspective the feeling that will be felt during the coarse of the plot development.
One key component that is produced through Ender’s struggles at his young age is self-reliance. Ender is born unto a family where he is seen as an outcast; he’s a “third.” In a world where population control is major concern, a third-born child is looked upon in disgust. He is isolated even before he is brought into the world. John Kessel reveals his insights into Card’s interpretation of Ender’s exploitation when he says,” Orson Scott Card presents a harrowing tale of abuse. Ender’s parents and older brother (. . .) either ignore the abuse of Ender or participate in it” (Kessel 1). No one contributes more to this abuse than his older brother, Peter. Along with his birth, jealousy and hatred are especially common towards Ender. This disapproving outlook is particularly apparent from Peter. Peter let’s Ender know hi...
His initial view is conveyed through the comparison between the Modern World and the Aztec world. The positive imagery of “passing under trees filled with birds” describes the free, peaceful and safe nature of the modern world through the symbolism of birds living in freedom and not locked up in a cage. This is contrasted with the metaphor of “He detached himself almost physically from the nightmare” when referring to the Aztec world shows that it is an unsafe and violent due to the world being described in negative connotations by the protagonist. However he realises that this peaceful world that he lived in was only his imagination. The realisation of his true reality occurs through the imagery of “He realised he was running in pitch darkness…the sky crisscrossed with treetops was less black than the rest” of the Aztec world. Coupled with the motif of smell in his dreams shown through “it was a curious dream because it was full of smells and he never dreamed smells” also reflects the idea that his real world is the Aztec world. The depth of description when describing his dream and the use
Dinaw Mengestu’s novel The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears is a story about an immigrant from Ethiopia named Sepha Stephanos that discovers the freedoms he travels to the United States for are not easily accessible and that sometimes you can lose yourself trying to figure out who you are. The passage that most clearly represents this notion comes as Stephanos is reflecting at the end of the novel, he says: “What was it my father used to say? A bird stuck between two branches gets bitten on both wings. I would like to add my own saying to the list now, Father: a man stuck between two worlds lives and dies alone. I have dangled and been suspended long enough” (Mengestu, 228). This paper will examine the metaphor of the two worlds Stephanos
As is characteristic of the whole cantica, and is especially evident in the first cantos, we find that the three souls we meet here are, by the very definition of their realm, in a liminal state between two forms of existence, the earthly and the celestial. They are gradually shedding the prejudices and passions that had made them cling to the illusory goods of their earthly existence, and getting ready, through their painful purgation, for the permanent bliss to come. We shall see how, by the very progression that distinguishes them among themselves, the three main characters are increasingly detached from the worldly values and increasingly ready for the final step.
Imagine if you were just a six year old and school just finished. You can’t wait to get home and hang out with your siblings. So you start to get get ready to leave but there was one thing that was impromptu. The school bully comes at you and attacks you. This is what happened to Ender Wiggins in the beginning in Ender’s Game. It’s not a good feeling to be attacked physically and verbally. But something overcame Ender. Out of nowhere Ender feinted and rage which caused him to beat the bully. He somehow managed to injure him very badly. But he was still mad. He was tired of all of the bullying. He was tired of being called names. So he made a choice, he kicked the bully and killed him. His actions gave him an automatic ticket to battle school.
The world became prosperous and civilizations were created. However, peaceful days would not last forever. An ambitious and powerful supreme god appeared and started a war with other five creatures. All the creatures were involved in the war. However, the troop of god is so powerful and overwhelming. Nearly all the creatures on the other five lands were killed and the five lands were almost destroyed. The world for dead on the five lands were also destroyed.
