Help What is safe? Safe is being protected from or not exposed to danger or risk. In the movie Safe Haven directed by Lasse Hallström, will help answer the question what is safe? Safe Haven expresses fear, love, trust, acting, and action. All the ones listed will be expressed throughout the whole movie. Although the movie does an excellent job on developing a theme of relationships, it also shows how someone can overcome a dramatic situation to make a better life for themselves. Actor Julianne Hough plays her acting part perfectly, Julianne is a fully developed character and makes the part memorable.. Julianne Hough name in the movie is Katie, Katie is a mysterious young woman that appears in North Carolina town of Southport, and her sudden arrival raises questions about her past. At the beginning like listed above was a very dark and scary time, but when Katie arrives in North Carolina with a whole new look things start to completely change. Katie tries to stay determined on not having personal ties to anyone. Katie meets Alex(Josh Duhamel)(1), a widowed store owner with a kind heart and two young children; and her single neighbor, Jo(Cobie Smulders)(1). Alex immediately starts to like Katie, Alex would always try to do nice things for Katie because Alex was just that kind hearted. Katie starts to put her guard down and also starts to take a liking to Alex. They went on a 'family' trip to the beach, and Alex asks Katie to go canoeing, after which, they had started to really fall in love with each other. Lexie (which is Alex’s daughter) immediately accepts Katie, while Josh(Alex’s son) is initially resistant, believing Katie to be his late mother's replacement, but eventually accepts her as well. It is about a mutiny by recently captured slaves, who take over a ship known as La Amistad, and the legal battle that followed regarding their freedom. He was one of many illegally captured in Africa, and sold into slavery. When the time comes for the trial, John Quincy Adams pleas for their freedom. After a grueling trial, the slaves are said to be free men, and are to be sent back to their homeland, Africa.
