1. Provide a brief summary of the financial stressors experienced by Rebecca, on which the film was based. This movie is about a young journalist living in New York, her name is Rebecca Bloomwood. She is a compulsive liar and is an addicted consumer that can’t resist shopping and spending money. She has several unplayable debts on her credit cards and has no way of paying them off. She is forced by her friend Suze to attend counselling from her addiction, but it does not help at first because she does not think she needs help. She dreams on working at a high-profile fashion magazine, Alette for the reason of that she loves fashion, spending money on fashion and to help pay off her debt, but she does not get it. When Rebecca loses her job, she desperately accepts a job at a financial magazine "Successful Saving" working for the editor Luke Brandon, which it ironic considering she is writing on how people should save money, when she is in so much debt herself.in the beginning she don’t do so well because she know nothing about saving but when push comes to shove she wrote a very successful column about money and fashion called "The Girl in the Green Scarf" which uses simple language and can be easily understood by common people .
