The author of the book Sidekicks is Jack D. Ferraiolo. The genre is action fiction because it’s not like a superhero would be flying around outside right now. it takes place in a fictional city in the united states. The major characters are phantom justice who is the bad guy of the novel although it not found out about until near the end of the story. Another character is bright boy who is one of the heroes who has to fight against his mentor phantom justice. The conflict of this story is Bright boy Aka the sidekick to phantom justice is trying to stop phantom justice from destroying all of the sidekicks in the world. in my opinion I thought the ending of this story was entertaining because things looked like they were going to turn for the
The author of this book is Judith Berry Griffin. Genre of this book is historical fiction which show how the small girl, Phoebe could make differently someone’s life. This book of setting is in Manhattan in 1776, Phoebe is a free black. Most of actions take house of General Washington in Manhattan. I think the author set this setting to let readers know about the hero who save president.
story where the brave hero Harvey is invited to The Holiday House. The house of the evil Mr. Hood, and Harvey is on his conquest to defeat the house. Though, Hood and Harvey are both the main characters of the book who coordinate with each other, but there is one big difference that sets them apart. Barker created these personalities between Harvey and Hood to create something the two, good and evil can relate to, and having something that separates them. Likewise, the two thieves they are, there vampiric actions, and how heart in one can overthrow evil.
Some of the conflicts were the times when the kid was throwing rocks at his first whirligig, and when he left his whirligig book on the bus. Each conflict leads to a good ending though. The kid that was throwing rocks at it somehow gained a respect for the whirligig, after his mom told him off. Brent figured that the whirligig had helped him this far and now it was time for the book to help inspire someone else. So the whirligigs turned into a far bigger influence than anyone else could imagine.
The ending of this book was a cliffhanger. In my opinion that is the worse kind of ending, but that’s how that writing persuades the reader to get the next book in the series. Without giving too much away about the end of the story, it was very unexpected. To be
I chose to write about the narrator and his friends because I found there was more to them than just the bad guy persona they wanted everyone to see. I find the narrator and his friends are dynamic characters because in the end of the story they lets go of all his childish pretending and changes into the en they are supposed to be. “We were bad. We read Andre Gide and stuck elaborate poses to show we didn’t give a shit about anything.” (Boyle 529) This quote sums up that they have to...
In conclusion my expectations were met because we all want to be a certain hero in our everyday lives but sometimes don’t know which one is actually the better and more positive one. Strength, power, intelligence, and authority are the most important things the outlaw hero and official hero will bring even if they are above a certain rule or really beneath it. Outlaws are not always the bad guys, but are not always the good guys either. In this case Batman is the good guy disguised as the bad guy. Official heroes are always the good guys no matter the circumstance. Superman in this case is the good guy disguised as the actual good guy. Being above the law or against it, official heroes and outlaw heroes will always paint the picture that you can be strong, powerful, intelligent, and have the authority you deserve.
The Characteristics of Ponyboy and How They Developed inThe Outsiders by S. E. Hinton The novel "The Outsiders", by S.E. Hinton was based on a character called Ponyboy. He has long light-brown, almost red hair and greenish-grey eyes. It was normal for him to have long hair because he was classified as a "greaser", a boy on the East Side. The only people he has for a family are his two older brothers and his neighbours, the other greasers. Throughout the book it shows you the development of him becoming more mature and how he handles life's challenges without his parents.
The unknown is commonly something that people fear, but what happens when intelligent individuals dare to uncover the facts within it? The answer to this question is that remarkable discoveries are made that change human knowledge, technology, and health forever. Possibly the most beneficial of these discoveries are the ones involving the betterment of human health. Doctors and scientists are often viewed as the most intellectual people in the world’s communities, but they are still human and therefore prone to error. However, Morton A. Meyers’s book Happy Accidents: Serendipity in Modern Medical Breakthroughs explores the various positive outcomes that arose from human error. Specifically, Meyers writes about the diverse serendipitous breakthroughs
In this story the main conflict is that the rose is growing out of a crack from the concrete. This is super hard to do and it rarely happens. The rose overcame the laws of nature and it grew out of a very rough place to grow. The conflict relates to the theme because it shows that you can come from a rough place and still end up being amazing character.
...avelers chooses to leave Tanto. In spite of being warned by Lt. Blanchard that Geronimo and the Apaches are on a war path. The climax is during and shortly after the big chase/shootout scene and when the Calvary arrives and saves the group from the Indians. The resolution is when Ringo kills the Plummer brothers and gets the revenge he desired as well as get to marry Dallas.
The characters of the West Side Story were not good people. The two gangs focused their lives on fighting with each other rather than attempting to get along and accept the differences between them. The gangs did not have any hopes or aspirations for their futures and cared about nothing more than being in a gang. Each gang made one mistake after another and never learned from any of them nor did they try to. Doc, an old and wise man, informed the boys with his knowledge and tried to open the eyes of both gangs to the hatred that engulfed them. Everything Doc had to say went through one ear and out the other, because the boys refused to see past their differences. The Jets, one of the gangs, accept what society believes of them and never make any effort to erase their bad history. They listen to what others tell them, agreeing to the excuses for their bad behavior. This is just one example of how the boys do not attempt to make a better life for themselves, or try t...
The story opens with Ponyboy walking home alone from a movie; he is stopped by a gang of Socs who proceed to stop there car and beat him up. The Socs badly injure and threaten to kill Ponyboy; however, some of ponyboy’s gang happen upon the scene and scare off the Socs.
The final part of the novel tells of the anarchy of the days immediately after the end of the war and ends with Jim being reunited with his parents. Again, the fascination is with the people and how they react to their new found freedom.
Toy Story is the groundbreaking 1995 motion picture developed by Disney and Pixar and directed by John Lasseter. The film was so revolutionary not only because it was the first feature length animation to be created completely by CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) but also, also the film was more rounded in all respects. The characters not only looked more sophisticated and three-dimensional but their personalities were also more human and fewer cartoons like. The film uses a constructed text in order to put across a theme of two very different characters learning to work together beyond their rivalries to rise above a common enemy and work towards a common goal. The film uses characters and imagery very cleverly to portray this theme. The music used in the film is also different to other Disney features. Rather than the characters bursting into song themselves as in Aladdin or Hercules, the songs are played and sung by an outside person (Randy Newman) and reflect the mood and emotions of the characters in a particular scene. For example, the title sequence song “Friend in Me”, when Woody and Andy are playing together, and the scene where Andy’s room has been made over to a Buzz Lightyear theme, “Strange Things” where the song reflects Woody’s confusion and fear not only about the change in his surroundings but also the change in his friends and his own character and self-confidence. The attention to the smallest detail for example the reflections in Buzz’s visor give the film even more realism and depth. The use of unusual and imaginative camera angles, made possible by the use of CGI, also adds to the texture and pace of the film.
The ending of the story is very effective as a cliff hanger. No one knows
