Peter Van Pels: The Boy Who Loved Anne Frank Imagine you were Anne Frank, living in the annex with other families. The Van Pels being one. Peter is the boy who is in love with you. He's just a young boy with a short hard life. “Peter is obsessed with Anne Frank.” (Downey) As he lived years in torture. A boy put through wrongful events his entire life. Anne Frank’s Diary is greatly important for many reasons. The diary is the only proof of Peter in the Annex. (Downey) He was considered quiet and in love. (Downey) Anne adored him and wrote about him often. (Downey/ Frank) Anne thought he was annoying and lazy when they first met. (Frank) Then he was categorized as quiet and lovely. Although Anne’s diary is the only proof of Peter in the annex, he lived a life before. His life was stuck in a loop, short, wrong. Peter went to school.
