Probably, I should understand more their home-culture and how that influences Peter’s life at school. Also, I should interpret (without my own point of view) the family’s action with affect Peter’s
Peter is the main character and protagonist of this movie. He was forced join HJ after attempting to steal a radio. This was his suffering. This was also the death of his beliefs. Peter always had to hide his beliefs from the HJ leaders. The final scene shows his self-emptying. In this scene, he goes against Nazi rules and attends a swing dance at the Bismarck. The Nazis come in and assault every person there. He even fights with Thomas, his former best friend. He is then taken by the Nazis to a work camp. He rides away yelling "Swing Heil!" This shows his love and passion for his beliefs.
While being forced to live in Auschwitz they endured many cruel and harsh punishments. The main form of punishment was the gas chambers. These chambers were cells that were made underground and were able to be sealed. Zyklon-B was the poison used to gas and kill the Jewish people. “It takes about 10 minutes to kill 2,000 to 3,000 people in the gas chamber.” (Saldinger p.57) After gassing they would then be extracted from the chamber and taken to the crematorium where the bodies would be disposed of. Sometimes it wasn’t even the guards who would dispose of the bodies, most of the time it was the prisoners who were forced to extract their own people from the chambers. This was just one of the many forms of punishment; there were many more and some were just as bad.

Pauls's Case is the story of a young man who struggles with his identity. Paul feels that he knows where he belongs, but his family and teachers refuse to support his choices. In the middle of Paul's Case, there is a switch in narration. At this point, the reader can associate with Paul and his problems. Paul struggles with both internal and external conflicts, causing him to be quite a puzzling character. From tha perspective of his family and teachers, Paul seems abnormal. From his perspective, however, he seems misunderstood.
“Concentration camps (Konzentrationslager; abbreviated as KL or KZ) were an integral feature of the regime in Nazi Germany between 1933 and 1945. The term concentration camp refers to a camp in which people are detained or confined, usually under harsh conditions and without regard to legal norms of arrest and imprisonment that are acceptable in a constitutional democracy” (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum).
Peter was the only person who Anne could understand and knew that Anne could understand him. They could both talk to each other freely when they were together. Dussel soon joined the group. He was only supposed to be up in the attic for a short time, but he ended up staying till the end. He had to leave his Dentistry to hide out from the Germans.
Caring: Peter always takes cares of his little sister Kaitya and also takes cares of the animals he owns, for example Peter taught her little sister how to write.
Who is Van Helsing? That’s a common question any reader would ask not only directed to Van Helsing, but to every major character in the story. Bram Stoker shows the personalities of the characters in this book through their major actions and the reaction of other characters. He uses the reaction of other characters towards Van Helsing to show the reader the personality and traits of Van Helsing. “We shuddered with horror. I could see by the tremulous light that even Van Helsing’s iron nerve had failed”(Stoker 181). From this quote the reader can draw a conclusion that Bram Stoker is characterizing Van Helsing as someone with an iron nerve. Meaning that Van Helsing could be portrayed as a strong willed man. “My friend it was because I wished to gentle in the breaking to you, for I know you have loved that so sweet lady”(Stoker 166). When Van Helsing tells Seward that Lucy had made the bite marks on the children’s necks, Dr. Seward asks Van Helsing if he is mad.Through this the reader can conclude that Bram Stoker is characterizing Van Helsing has compassionate, and Bram Stoker differentiates Van Helsing as a character that doesn’t act on impulse but thinks before he speaks..Although Bram Stoker does not use major actions to char...
Anne Frank was a German-Jewish diarist. She was known for the diary she wrote while hiding from anti-Jewish persecution in Amsterdam during World War II. Her diary describes with wisdom and humor the two difficult years she spent in seclusion before her tragic death at the age of 15. Since it was first published in 1947, her diary has appeared in more than 50 languages. Perhaps more than any other figure, Anne Frank gave a human face to the victims of the Holocaust.
In the play, The Diary of Anne Frank, the main character Anne was a dynamic character, changing from being self-centered and naive in the beginning, to being caring towards the end of the story. Anne interacting with the other characters and developing the theme of the play showed proof of these traits of her personality, emotions, intellect, and ethics. First, Anne shows her initial trait of being self-centered, partially because of her naiveness. One example of this is when she has a nightmare, then when her mother comes to comfort her. Mrs. Frank says, “But I’d like to stay with you… very much. Really.”, then Anne responds by saying “I’d rather you didn’t”. Anne deeply hurt her mother by making her feel unwanted and useless, showing that

On June 12, 1929, at 7:30 AM, a baby girl was born in Frankfort, Germany. No one realized that this infant, who was Jewish, was destined to become one of the worlds most famous victims of World War II. Her name was Anne Frank. Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, by Anne Frank and B.M. Mooyaart, was actually the real diary of Anne Frank. Anne was a girl who lived with her family during the time while the Nazis took power over Germany. Because they were Jewish, Otto, Edith, Margot, and Anne Frank immigrated to Holland in 1933. Hitler invaded Holland on May 10, 1940, a month before Anne?s eleventh birthday. In July 1942, Anne's family went into hiding in the Prinsengracht building. Anne and her family called it the 'Secret Annex'. Life there was not easy at all. They had to wake up at 6:45 every morning. Nobody could go outside, nor turn on lights at night. Anne mostly spent her time reading books, writing stories, and of course, making daily entries in her diary. She only kept her diary while hiding from the Nazis. This diary told the story of the excitement and horror in this young girl's life during the Holocaust. Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl reveals the life of a young innocent girl who is forced into hiding from the Nazis because of her religion, Judaism. This book is very informing and enlightening. It introduces a time period of discrimination, unfair judgment, and power-crazed individuals, and with this, it shows the effect on the defenseless.
