Ariana Grande’s One Love Manchester charity concert took place at 8pm EST on June 4, 2017 at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester, England. All proceeds of the concert would benefit the victims and their families affected by the Manchester attack that took place just two weeks earlier. Celebrities from all over the world flew in to be involved with the performance, including the likes of Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Imogen Heap, Mumford & Sons, and Niall Horan. Singers used their voices, as well as instruments such as acoustic guitars, to spread a message of peace across the world.
As for the concert itself, hundreds of thousands of fans and supporters stood together to show the world that love will always trump hate.

performed by Ariana Grande and Mac Miller. I may be biased because I am not a huge fan of the rap genre, but I tried to evaluate it on a musical level. I disliked the fast tempo of the song because I could not understand most of the words that they were saying/singing. Although the rapid tempo usually gets the crowd into a performance, this song was drastically different than most of the other pieces that were performed and took away from the theme of the rest of the concert. With that, I was also not a fan of the balance and blend of the performance. Ariana Grande and Mac Miller have two distinct styles, and their collaboration seemed overwhelming. Between the competition of voices as well as the instruments that were accompanying them, it was a bit unorganized. The sounds were very different, while some overpowered others. I’m a fan of the new fad of crossover music, but this piece did not create a cohesive sound. Lastly, I also did not like the detached feeling among the performers and their audience. Many of the other performers interacted with those in attendance while offering words of encouragement and support. During this song, they simply sang the lyrics and left without getting the crowd involved. In this type of environment, the connection between the celebrities and locals played a key role, and this specific performance lacked that
As the night passed on the music was turned up a couple notches. All of the groups were sounding good until it got to Eve. This young lady singer is nice to here on the radio with her vocals tuned to perfection, but in concert it was horrible and the crowd was going from crazy to just about silent. Juvenile was the last rapper to finish the (what felt like short) concert. By the time he came up there the music was so loud you couldn’t here the guy sing.
was excited to attend the show, but I didn't know what to expect. I had always thought
In addition, this musical either surprised or fascinated me. I was skeptical about going to this show because I 'm not into love movies. I assume this show would be the same. But I am glad that I was mistaken because the show was great. Seeing some of my favorite R&B artists acting was a pleasant surprise. I was blown away at how good these chart-topping singers performed as actors. The way in which the actors interact with one another and the countless hilarious
and end on Monday, August 18. The promoters had printed up 60,000 tickets to be sold making it the biggest concert event of it’s time. There was very little promotion of it
On Tuesday, October 17, 2017, I attended a musical concert. This was the first time I had ever been to a concert and did not play. The concert was not what I expected. I assumed I was going to a symphony that featured a soloist clarinet; however, upon arrival I quickly realized that my previous assumptions were false. My experience was sort of a rollercoaster. One minute I was down and almost asleep; next I was laughing; then I was up and intrigued.
I chose to do my concert critique on Eric Clapton-MTV unplugged full concert-HQ January 16, 1992 at Bray Film Studios in Windsor, England. Eric Clapton is my favorite rock n roll singer which has a mixture of genres. The concert was inside and on stage. The audience was seated up close to the stage which made the atmosphere comfortable; Eric and the band showed much warmth and connected with the crowd it wasn’t like the band was untouchable.
I enjoyed this concert. It was my first real experience with jazz music. To be honest, I didn’t know what to expect, but I left satisfied that I attended. However, there was one thing I did not enjoy. The narrator between songs was not very effective and actually took away somewhat from the concert. He failed numerous times at trying to be humorous and rambled on. My favorite piece was 88 Basie Street. It gave me that easy and relaxed feeling. This piece started softer, and then seemed to pick up with more energy. With my lack of knowledge of Jazz music, I certainly enjoyed this piece the best. I learned how exciting and fun listening to jazz being played live can actually be. I found it very interesting. Like I said earlier, the only thing I would change to make the concert more effective would be to have the narrator speak less.
Ariana Grande broke down on the year 2014 Grammy Awards red carpet. This singer was in tears while taking the photos for the photographers; according to January 27 report by the Wet Paint. What happened to this singer? Grande seemed very happy and very confident when she stepped out on the Sunday night. She looked somewhat gorgeous in the retro floral dress and her pink pumps. It seemed like pressures of fame got to this R&B singer. A fan said that the photographers were ordering her to look every way. She had the trouble listening to all of them at one time. Grande moved little very quickly on the red carpet. She stepped backwards and then tripped. That is when she got very embarrassed and even cried. Grande ended up crying in bathroom during that night. Fans got word of this singer's reaction. They flocked to the Twitter by showing the support, tweeting We Are Here for You Ariana. Ariana Grande seemed flustered when she spoke to the Giuliana Rancic earlier. Giuliana asked singer to describe her own style and she could not form right wor...
On Monday March 25, some members of the baseball team, my girlfriend, and I traveled to Murray State University to watch a concert performed by Nelly and the St. Lunatics. It was a terrible night to go anywhere because it was raining and storming the whole way, but there was nothing that was going to stop us from going to the concert. We where all so hyped up about it and couldn’t wait to head out. My brother, who attends Murray State, had gotten us excellent seats about seventy-five feet away from the stage.
...e theatre with them. The theatre sold out the seats and, as they normally would, began to sell isle standing spots for the show. They oversold the show by three-hundred people. When the doors closed and the show began, the audience began to get rowdy. The many Edwin supporters who could not get in crowded the streets around the theatre. It was estimated that around 10,000 people showed up that night.
Every performance was presented with charm. The flashing, changing colors seem to go along with the performances. The director was humorous. The performers outfits were on point too. I liked the color coding of the vocalists, Jeremy, Jordan, and Rowan. Also, Julie wore a pretty suede dress and had a great voice. It was nice to see her come out for the 2nd time to sing. When Spencer kept playing his saxophone in some of the performances, it was just amazing. Some of my favorite performances were Sittin on the Dock of the Bay, Ain’t too Proud to Beg, In a Sentimental Mood, and more. It really made me feel like I was in New Orleans all over again. I absolutely love Otis Redding and The Temptations music, so I wasn’t new to these songs they played. I was sitting in the back (R-125) where I felt comfortable to bob my head to the music. If I ever come back to see another concert, I will make sure to get a seat in the back again. I adore Jordan that did sung the Temptations song. I thought it was exciting to see his enthusiasm while on stage keeping us engaged, but everyone did great in their own way. The song by Duke Ellington made me feel melancholy, the piece was soft. I just couldn’t believe how well everyone contributed and gave an outstanding
The first thing to note about this performance by Guayo Cedeño and the Coco Band is the venue. The Brookfield Place is located downtown, but feels much more like an upscale mall than anything else. The stage itself was in what could be considered a food court, open to anyone passing by. This is not to say that was a bad. Quite the contrary, it proved to be an ideal place for such a performance. The openness allowed for a diverse audience, and also allowed for the speakers to echo the music everywhere. But most importantly, the performance felt very much in the moment. It was a very unique experience, partly for the act itself. While open performances in these venues are common, they are very rarely from acts that would be categorized as “World
Springsteen said: “Some things are more important than a rock show and this fight against prejudice and bigotry – which is happening as I write – is one of them. It is the strongest means I have, raising my voice in opposition to those who continue to push us backwards instead of forwards” (Berman). Jonas and Lovato released a statement together saying: “We know the cancellation of these shows is disappointing to our fans, but we trust that you will stand united with us against this hateful law. One of our goals for the tour has always been to create an atmosphere where every single attendee feels equal, included, and accepted for who they are.
I went in with the large crowd and I was standing right in front of the stage. All of them were delinquents, with no idea of what they are supporting. Trump came out, and there’s a deafening roar from the crowd. I look around in pity for all these people thinking about how my mother supported him, all I had was a photo of my mother given to me by the doc. Blonde hair, brown eyes and a noticeable mole on her right shoulder I had a quick look around. A lost cause looking for her.
Then audience members who were perfect strangers who were screaming loudest would turn to each other with knowing glances and smile because they were sharing the same excitement and connecting with one another over their love of this man’s music. There was no pushing or shoving to get closer to the stage – it wasn’t that kind of crowd. Instead, there was mutual respect for one another’s space within the confines of the too-small venue. Nobody wanted to be the person who ruined it for someone else. It was this respect that made the audience members’ connections with one another that much stronger – we were all here to listen to this wonderful man’s music and see his performance – and, of course, we were here to enjoy it.
