In this time of age, things have been consuming a lot of electricity compared to the old electrical appliances. People have been innovating different types of electrical appliances to reduce the amount of electricity used by the household such as air conditioner, refrigerator, television, and other appliances. One way of saving electricity which have been introduced in the new era is the Bio Robot Refrigerator introduced by a student from Russia, Yuriy Dmitriev, which is one of the 25 finalists in the Electrolux Design Lab competition. The competition is to challenge the entrants to redesign the modern appliances for the future.
The Bio Robot Refrigerator was one of the design in ‘The 2nd Space Age’ theme announced in 2010 by Electrolux. The Bio Robot Refrigerator uses a biopolymer gel to store the food items. The biopolymer gel is non-sticky and it will create separate pods when the food item is placed into the gel. The refrigerator contains no drawers, compartment or doors. The Bio Robot Refrigerator cools the food items according to the optimal temperature. It is consist o...
Ruth Schwartz Cowan wrote “How the Refrigerator Got Its Hum” in 1983. It was included in the section, “Failed Machines” of her book. I never thought about why most refrigerators are electric. We have owned gas stoves and dryers, but never a gas refrigerator. Gas appliances cost more upfront, but are inexpensive to run over time. Personally, I would rather have gas appliances than electric and believe many other people would too; however, there are major factors that caused the gas refrigerator to fail.

One of the greatest accomplishments and innovations of human history thus far is the invention of the electric refrigerator. Such a simple concept has literally changed how the entire world stores food and has saved millions of lives in the process. Refrigeration as we know it has only been around since the 1930’s, and in less then a hundred years has been greatly taken for granted. Since the influence of electrical engineering in the modern refrigerator, refrigeration has gone from storing food in an ice cellar to being able to have two dedicating refrigeration units with controllable temperatures and even an ice machine attached. Without electricity modern refrigeration would be drastically different, using instead previous refrigeration

The utilization of robotics in the medical field is a cutting-edge technology which continues to develop rapidly. The main purpose for the integration of medical robotics in health-care is to sanction for a greater sense of accuracy in surgical procedures, which is something that has not been previously achieved by human capabilities alone. This sense of accuracy has incremented what makes medical robotics a unique and valuable integration to the field of medicine. The field of medical robotics offers great potential for maximizing the capabilities of medicos and surgeons when performing complex surgical procedures, or when there is a strong need for dexterity and precision in diagnosis and treatment. Although the interest is mainly on surgical robotics, medical robotics covers a wide variety of patient-care areas.
The book that I have currently finished was Life on the Refrigerator Door by: Alice Kuipers. This book is about a really poor relationship between mother and daughter. What makes their relationship not really well built is that when they need to tell each other something they wrote on a sticky note and posted it up on the refrigerator. For example: on pages 6 and 7 (page 6) “I’m running out the door. I’m on call this weekend. Sorry Love, Mom” (page 7) “I’m going to spend the night at Emma’s. You seemed a bit tired last night, Mom I hope you’re not working too hard??? See you tomorrow. Claire.” I feel like that something bad had happened and made the relationship happen in the book.
Automation is a step beyond mechanization, Automation is the use of control systems and information technologies to reduce the need for human work in production of goods and services. Where mechanization provided human operators with machinery to assist them with the muscular requirements of work, automation greatly decreases the need for human sensory and mental requirements as well. Automation plays an increasingly important role in the world economy and in daily life. Automatic systems are being preferred over manual system. Through this project we have tried to show automatic control of a house as a result of which power is saved to some extent. The Global System for Mobile Communications
The scientific principle behind how a refrigerator actually works is quite basic. The refrigerator uses the evaporation of a liquid to absorb heat. This liquid is often known as the refrigerant, and when used in the refrigerator, evaporates at a fairly low temperature. This causes the cold temperatures within.

...g to a bank to deposit a check, it can be done through a bank app on a smartphone or tablet where you take a picture of a check and it is deposited in your account. This app is unnecessary and we are able to do without it, but it saves time and money. Auto Mee S is a device that is now popular in Japan. It is a smartphone vacuum. This device was created to keep screens smudge-free. It replaces the traditional microfiber cloth. Time magazine released an excerpt talking about newly created robots. Japanese developers introduced a robot that can win at rock, paper, scissors. Brazilian students developed a Rubik’s Cube solver. Cornell and University of Chicago students collaborated and developed a dart thrower. These robots are all useless and there is really no need for them in society, it is just merely a source of entertainment, or just makes life that much easier.
Refrigerators and stoves are the main product lines in which Atlas Eléctrica has its core competences. They are also working fine due to the production system.
The science behind humanlike robots is advancing. They are becoming more smart, mobile and autonom...
When people think of robots, an image of a mechanical, stiff, talking, moving, human-like machine might come to mind. Robots are, in fact, computerized machines that are ultimately utilized to simplify larger scale tasks. They include control machines, computer controllers, or microprocessor based automated systems just to name a few. The ultimate goal of industrial engineering is to expedite processes; therefore, with such developed and modern technology, the manufacturing process is more efficient, cost effective, and there is almost no human error. With all its benefits the automation and robotics movement has made way for new fetes and greater prospects in economic terms for large-scale firms.
Electrical motors play an important role in today’s society, from powering domestic appliances like blenders to industrial equipment such as trains. It almost seems impossible to not use an electric motor in our daily lives. In the comfort of our home, electric motors will operate fans, refrigerators, and air conditioners to just name a few. Researchers are constantly looking for new ways to incorporate electrical motors in our lives.
Robots are one of the artificial intelligence that made a breakthrough across all fields of life. In consequence, many research studies and projects regarding robots took place in the last decade. In addition, robots in the society could be one of the essential machines, due to their multitask system which could adjusted to any kind of performance. In general society could use these machines to fill manpower gap in short time with less cost. Therefore, robots can have huge positive effects on different fields of life such as emergency situations, daily chores, and manufacturing industry.
