It was a very nice warm day and Amy woke up to the sound of her alarm and the smell of bacon and eggs cooking in the kitchen. She passed the thought of getting dressed out of her pajamas and dashed out of her room, leaving her bed sheets on the ground. She ran into the kitchen and saw her dad cooking the eggs and bacon on the stove and her mom was making French toast on the mini grill. Her oldest sister was walking up the stairs at that time, she had Amy’s niece in her hands and Amy’s nephew was half asleep walking right behind her. As everyone sat down at the table and said their morning greetings, Amy’s parents told everyone that they had a choice, a choice between eggs and bacon or French toast and bacon. A choice, it seems so simple, but …show more content…
She chose eggs and bacon because she had no idea of what she was craving. As she began to eat her breakfast, she saw her nephew eating French toast. She started to regret her choice. He was dipping the perfectly cooked toast into the golden brown syrup, she really wanted French toast, but she just ate her bacon and eggs. Even though she honestly didn’t want it. Breakfast was over and Amy went to help her mom wash dishes. Her mom told her calmly that today she could either go to her softball tournament, or go to the UNC game and then after either, go to dinner. She thought and thought and thought. How on earth could she make a decision like this! Either way something could go wrong. She would let her whole team down if she didn’t go to the tournament, being the pitcher and having a good at bat, or even the fact that they were all friends. On the other hand, what about the game? It was a nice day, not too hot and not too cold, If she didn’t go, who knows when the next HOME game was. She would most likely miss out on a good game and some valuable family time. Plus the fun times after the game on the field! Sadly, she had to make a …show more content…
It was about time for her to get dressed, so she walked into her closet and stared at her clothes. What was she going to wear today? Another choice she had to make. She looked through her pants and shirts. Eventually, she pulled out some skinny jeans and a half way long/short shirt. Once she got dressed, she went to the bathroom to finish getting ready. When she got to her hair, she didn’t know what to do, so she brushed it and left it down. She walked out into the living room and sat on the couch. Her dad asked her if that was what she was going to wear today. She looked confused, but told him yes. He said that it would be hot today, but she just watched the show that was on. Her nephew ran through the living room and stopped. He had asked Amy if she liked his hair. It was spiked up just the way he liked it, he had a short sleeve on and some shorts. Amy thought…… Her nephew asked if she wanted to go outside, who wouldn’t? As they rode scooters, bikes, raced, and even drew on the sidewalk with chalk, but as this went on she began to get hot. She needed to go inside and get a drink. Her nephew was sad and started throwing a fit. She thought, this was all because she made the wrong

Susie’s mother opened the door to let Molly, Susie’s babysitter, inside. Ten-month old Susie seemed happy to see Molly. Susie then observed her mother put her jacket on and Susie’s face turned from smiling to sad as she realized that her mother was going out. Molly had sat for Susie many times in the past month, and Susie had never reacted like this before. When Susie’s mother returned home, the sitter told her that Susie had cried until she knew that her mother had left and then they had a nice time playing with toys until she heard her mother’s key in the door. Then Susie began crying once again.
Then she saw a greasy china plate that had bread crumbs, cheese and sausage. The pungent of cheese made her stomach grumble. The man was very rude and insulted her because she couldn’t read. Then Frances headed home and on her way, she bumped into a girl with a nice, green, winter coat. She imagined her Ma in that coat, twirling around with a smile on her face. The girl’s mother said a rather offensive sentence about Frances and walked away with her daughter.
Everything was going great at Oakville farm, I mean everything was normal and okay how it should be if you don’t count that the fact Donna came home late last night. She came home around two or three o’clock in the morning when it was pitch black outside, and believe me this isn’t the first time it ever happened either, maybe it’s not that big of a deal to you but to me it is, Donna here is the farmer’s daughter. While Mr. Salem is away she’s the one in charge of us,and because she’s the one in charge of us we haven't eaten in two days! Mr. Salem always made sure we were cared for, and was handled with love but , Donna on the other hand she just doesn’t care. There’s a lot of us here on the farm, we have a variety of animals here like horses,
Her eyes were heavy, her body weak. As she crawled into the bathroom two feet away, Abby felt her body slowly succumbing to the numbness. All of her pain would be gone in less than 10 minutes, so why would she want to turn back? What about the senior trip Abby had planned with her best friend? What about the chair at the dinner table that would now be vacant? A couple of hours later Abby’s family came home from her little sister’s soccer game. Little did they know what they would find as they approached the top of the stairs. Her little sister, Ali, stood still as she looked down at her feet. There on the cold floor lay her big sister, her role model, and her super hero. Ali was crushed when she saw the pill bottle in her hand and the pale color of her skin. Her mom fell to her knees screaming and crying, wondering where she
Arriving at Lacey’s house I walk to the backdoor letting myself into the house. Lacey was putting on tanning lotion in the kitchen, “Lacey,” I called to her, “my mom wants me to pick up snacks for the beach, do you want to go into town with me?”, “Sure,” she replied, “do you mind if my cousin comes with us?”, “Of course I don’t mind,“ I answered, “but we have to get moving, my dad only left me the car to use ‘til noon.”
As they started to get out of the car they could see their own warm breath hit the cold air and make an intense fog, when Kelsey’s mother told Wes and Kelsey to put on their shoes and all of a sudden she realized she had no shoes! She was in such a rush to get going she didn't even notice she put no shoes on as she ran out of the house. She looked over at her little brother and noticed he had no shoes either! Immediately the whole car was filled with emotion. Kelsey felt a mix of panic, embarrassment, and nervousness, Kelsey’s mother on the other hand, also felt panic, but also was full of anger and annoyance at her children's lack of shoes for their trip to chilly Wisconsin in the middle of fall! They had not packed any shoes because they were planning on wearing a pair up there and using those for the whole trip, but they were in such a rush that they had completely forgot to put them on at all. Their mother was completely panicked and had no clue what to do. Then they remembered they had some extra flip flops in the back for if they went swimming. Quickly they dug them out of the back and put them
As a precocious three-year-old, Jeannette often cooked herself hot dogs on the stovetop. One day while doing so, the gas flame catches on her dress and fire zips up her torso. Terrified, she calls for help and Mom dashes to her, wraps her in a blanket, and a neighbor drives them to the hospital. At the hospital, the nurses place her on a bed of ice; Jeannette's younger brother, Brian, steals a chunk of ice and eats it.
Though none of these choices that we make on a daily basis would be quite as hard as the one Anna is faced with. This
A normal life of a teenage girl in high school named Darcy. She lives in a small apartment with only her sister named Jamee, her mother named Mattie, and her grandma that is on stroke. Darcy was a sophomore in highschool that only had her one friend named Brisana. They were always straight A students and would usually characterize other “low-lives” on a scale from 1 - 10. The only problem is that her sister Jamee was having trouble in school and was always in trouble. Jamee was an 8th grader and was found hanging out with bad people who are laid back in highschool with their driver’s license. A girl she didn’t like from how she was very “stupid” according to her. But Darcy found out that just because the person you . hate, doesn’t mean that the person does not have a heart once you get to know that person. They ended up doing that when going to the ocean with Tarah and her boyfriend Cooper. But Cooper started to mess around with Darcy and threw a water bug that lives off of blood onto her sweater. Darcy screamed and struggled it off of her sweater, but ending up with her going home on the bus. While she was waiting for the bus, a Silver Toyota car came up with no one else on the street. She went to church in those red shoes. She thought everyone in the church was looking at her shoes. She wore them at the time of confirmation, which was not the proper occasion to wear them. Karen felt very proud of them. She even forgot to pray in the church when the old lady came to know about it, she told Karen not to wear those shoes in future but once again she went to the church wearing those shoes.
There was no table laid out, or a fire burning, and she was unwillingly offered to help her new husband light it and cook their dinner, if there was any. She soon offered to clean up the place. The next day he made her put on a raggedy gown and old shoes. When she was cleaning the house, he left and returned a few hours late. He came back with Willow branches and a variety of leaves, flowers, and twigs.
The purpose of this letter is to express my concerns to have Amy around your family. I urge you to not believe a single word coming from her mouth. She is not your friend, she is a pathologic liar, has developed an impressive ability to play the victim and love to manipulate people around her to cover her laziness, lack of organization and her endless lies.
While she waited for someone to answer the phone, she thought how much her life had changed this last year. When her grandmother died the previous Christmas, she left her job as a nurse in Waynesboro and came back to the Pocono Mountains to help her grandfather. She never gave it a second thought. Her mother had remarried when Anne was ten, and the trouble began. Her older brother, Danny, was almost out of the house by then and had no problems with the stepfather.
A bright hazy light filtered through the closed windows shining dully. “Are you kidding me? Snowed in again! My spelling bee was today.” A whiny voice called from downstairs. “At least you didn’t have a soccer game in the park today.” “You think you have problems? Mom bought me a satin sash and this was my only chance to wear it!” They sat there sulking for a few minutes before one of them spoke up, “You know what. I’m not going to spend my day being a salty little baby. I’m going to go do something with my life.” One of them pranced to their rooms and came out again fully dressed in winter clothing. “I suppose you're not going to win your first place trophy in soccer.” The other said. “Nah, I going to go jump in a gutter.” They said sarcastically.
