Macbeth shows a prince who is eager to rule after three witches told him a prophecy. Macbeth had no intention in overthrowing his king and betraying him to become king until the three witches and that is what made Macbeth ambitious. He believed he was gonna be king so he followed the witches plan. He dreamed of achieving the goals that defy a higher order that promises consequences. Thoughts of betraying him grew into his head and the idea of being king started to sound great in his head. Then he talked to his wife about it and she is the one that pushed Macbeth over. She convinced him into betraying the king. After killing Duncan, Macbeth knew then that he had to do everything in his power to secure the throne. In his head he grow more and more ambitious as the day went. He had gotten himself so far in that he became more ambitious trying to cover up his mess.
