After reading about al-Timimi’s advocacy for violence I personally believe that it shouldn’t be unlawful to speak of violence. He is using his right of free speech to share his opinion, although it may be very controversial. If you make it unlawful for someone to say something like that then it would be violating basic human rights, so it should not be illegal. However, I do believe that al-Timimi’s speech should be monitored by the police in case of a real prospect of violence from al-Timimi. In my opinion the only way that al-Timimi’s rhetoric would met the standards set in Holder vs. Humanitarian law project is if he is considered to give expert advice. Since he is an Islamic spiritual advisor he would probably give expert advice about
