Al-Masseeh Ad-Dajjal
Have you ever wondered who is capable of taking over the world? It is the Al-Masseeh Ad-Dajjal or the Anti-Christ. At least, according to the holy scripture of the Muslims, the Quran. The Dajjal is a cunning and evil being that has the power to lead everyone astray and literally take over the world. Luckily the Quran has given many tips on how to recognize Ad-Dajjal when he descends into this world.
Throughout the Muslim culture, a big topic that is often discussed is the end of the world. In the holy book of the Muslims, the Quran, it gives clues to when the end of the world will occur by telling the Muslims of events that will occur before the end. One of those events is the coming of Al-Masseeh Ad-Dajjal. According to

He will be able to heal the sick by wiping his hand on them like Jesus did, but with this deceit, the Dajjal will lead people down the path to hell. Thus the Dajjal is the false Messiah, or Anti-Christ (Masseeh ad-Dajjal)...and deceive people by showing them amazing powers…
But how will the Dajjal be identified? According to Joel Richardson in his book, Will Islam Be Our Future?A Study of Biblical and Islamic Eschatology, it

As cited by Joel Richardson in his book, Will Islam Be Our Future?A Study of Biblical and Islamic Eschatology, it states that Dajjal will travel the lands on his mule at lightning speeds, spreading his blanket of deception that he is man’s savior. He will convince the people by showing them their dead relatives and bringing them back to life, but in actuality, they are just his devils. Another of his tricks is that he will show the people heaven and hell, and ask them where they want to go but the two will be switched in reality. The bulk of his followers will consist of Jews and women (no disregard to either one) but the only cities that the Dajjal won’t be able to enter are, Makkah, Madinah, and Damascus. Allah (the Muslim God) states that the way we can protect ourselves from this creature is by reciting the first ten ayat of Surat Kahf (the first ten lines of a certain section in the Quran). In the end, Dajjal will be killed by Isa, the Muslim

After the fall of the Roman Empire, no one imagined that the next great world power would emerge from Saudi Arabia. Especially, because ancient empires thought that the land was worthless but they didn’t know that it had great trade routes. Trade brought them in connection with other civilizations and that’s how the city of Mecca, located in Saudi Arabia became known. The city of Mecca was a mix of religious beliefs, they used to worship many gods and had their own rituals. The world of Islam took place in Mecca where Muhammad was born in 570 CE. He became known as “the Prophet,” he was meant to be God’s final prophet. The main two groups of Islam are the Shia and Sunni; which they were created after Muhammad’s death. The Islam religion as
The Crisis of Islam: Holy War and Unholy Terror is a book written by Bernard Lewis that ‘in particular charts the key events of the twentieth century leading up to the violent confrontations of today. ’(Lewis) Lewis clearly and entirely points out key events explaining the choices to be made by the people of the Islamic faith. They must determine whether their religion takes its place alongside other religions in a global community, or whether it will revert back into conflict with non-Muslim nations. Islam is a religion that most Americans don’t understand, but still have strong feelings towards. To clear things up, Islam is a monotheistic and Abrahamic religion written in the Qur'an, a book considered by its believers to be the exact word of God.
Everyone has his own sentiment of when he thinks the world will end some said it would happen at the turn of the millennium but it didn’t, others have hypothesized random dates throughout history But none have come true as to date. Jesus teaches that many calamities will mark the Second Coming and the Apocalypse. Kevin Knight writes in an article for New Advent and in it he says, “They are meant to foreshadow not to tell the day or the time, and will include. 1) The General Preaching of the Christian Religion. 2) The Conversion of the Jews. 3) The Return of Enoch and Elijah. 4) A Great Apostasy or revolt against the Catholic Faith. 5) The Reign of Antichrist who will be a powerful adversary of Christ. He will seduce the nations by his wonders, and persecute the Church. 6) Extraordinary Perturbations of Nature. 7) The Universal Conflagration. 8) The Trumpets of Resurrection will awaken the dead to resurrection. 9) The sign of the Son of Man Appearing in Heaven or in a wonderful cross of light.”
In the collection of stories compiled by Olivia Remie Constable, the tenth reading is titled, “An Uprising Against The Amir Al-Hakam (796-822).” It is a story about an uprising against the Amir al-Hakam and events that take place after. This particular story was written by Ibn al-Qutiyya, who was a writer that collected tales, observations and anecdotes and put them together to create his works. This particular story shows the tensions that existed between the Visigoths and the Umayyads.
In today’s world of chaos and war, many people are turning to religion. People look to organized religion not only for solace but on the contrary, they also look to attribute cause for the world’s woes. The terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11th has many people looking to the religion of Islam for a culprit, as the men who flew the planes were Israeli suicide missionaries. These men thought themselves to be on a mission from God (Allah). This implies that they were acting on the words of a prophet, or thought themselves prophets. In response to this, I decided to research the major religions in today’s world that rely on modern day prophets for guidance. By doing so, I am attempting to prove the religion of Islam innocent by comparing it to many other religions that have similar structure but no terrorist intentions.

Islam is a monotheistic and Abrahamic religion alongside Judaism and Christianity. It is currently the second largest religion in the world today. Its beliefs come from the Qur'an which literally means "the recitation" which is believed to be a literal transcription of the word of God. Its main prophet is named Muhammad who began Islam by speaking with the angel Gabriel in a cave during his meditation and then acting as an instrument of God to help write the Qur’an. Muhammad then spread Islam to the scattered tribes of Arabia by becoming the leader of Yathrib and using his wonderful leadership abilities to then grow his influence over virtually all of Arabia. Muhammad is known by Muslims to be the seal of the profits because no profits after Muhammad should be considered legitimate. Muhammad also left behind the Hadith or “tradition” which is a collection of writings compiled of reports of Muhammad’s actions as leader of Yathrib. These reports are used as a more specific code of ethics in day to day life and from these reports the 5 Pillars of Islam are derived (Smith 160). Although Islam shares many similarities to Judaism and Christianity it is often viewed in the US with hate derived from preconceived notions following the attack on September 11th 2001. This paper seeks to provide an overview of Islam’s history as well as its two major sects and 5 main pillars to remove preconceived notions and provide a glance into the minds of the Islamic people.
Islam is portrayed and is commonly accepted as the most violent and largest direct threat to the West. This is a generalization made by most of the West, but it is not particularly the West or the Islamic people’s fault. There is constant turmoil in Islamic countries in the Middle East and these conflicts are what make the news in the West. The only representation in the media that the Islamic nation gets is that of war. Though most Islamic people are not violent, the select few that do participate in terrorist groups give the rest of the Islam nation a bad image.
...if the Devil interferes. The importance of this realization comes through the question who is Jesus?
Islam, a religion of people submitting to one God, seeking peace and a way of life without sin, is always misunderstood throughout the world. What some consider act of bigotry, others believe it to be the lack of education and wrong portrayal of events in media; however, one cannot not justify the so little knowledge that America and Americans have about Islam and Muslims. Historically there are have been myths, many attacks on Islam and much confusion between Islam as a religion and Middle Easter culture that is always associated with it. This paper is meant to dispel, or rather educate about the big issues that plague people’s minds with false ideas and this will only be touching the surface.
While the medium of calligraphy has commonly been ink on paper, contemporary artists continuously stretch and challenge the boundaries this traditional art. Two artists in particular represent such efforts to provide new shape and life to calligraphy: Hassan Massoudy and Mattar bin Lahej. Transforming calligraphy from a static art, Iraqi artist Hassan Massoudy introduces theatrically-inspired form and movement to his letters, while Emirati artist Mattar bin Lahej transitions calligraphy to the third dimension by his sculptures. Despite the visual differences between these two artists’ works, both reflect to re-explore the expressive capacities of the word.

Reading Tawakkol Karman’s Noble Lecture, Karman starts by citing the Torah, the Bible, and the Koran because even though they’re three different religion texts their god is stating the same message to its people of you should not kill and peace. Karman views the future of the Arab world as a democracy where there is justice and freedom for everyone. Where she could prove how wrong violence and war could be with backfiring and devastating results. She sounds very optimistic about what she states because she was motivated to help people mostly women get their human rights. Karman sees the war of despotic leaders who oppress their own people the worse war. It’s awful that there are still dictators out there controlling the people’s freedom. But
The Christian Apocalypse, also known as the end of the world is described in great detail by the Book of Revelation. Revelations is one of the most famous End of the World stories. The book itself is the last book in the bible, and is described as a scroll with seven wax seals. In the myth as the scroll unravels, a series of events unfolds. This begins with many wars, famines, diseases, and other heavenly signs to alert the world that the apocalypse is here. After series of natural disasters, a political ruler called the Antichrist will appear and will take control over the entire earth.
