Air quality in Australia is decreasing. Below is the National Clean Air Agreement. It States that:
National Clean Air Agreement
On 15 December 2015 Australia’s Environment Ministers established the National Clean Air Agreement. The Agreement seeks to ensure that the community continues to enjoy clean air and address the impacts on human health and the environment. So how do we ensure that the community continues to enjoy clean air and address the impacts of human health?
Method:
The air that we breathe in does not only impact our wellbeing and health, it also affects the way we live. It has an effect on the environment and also is critical for supporting the pleasantness of the place we live in. The air quality in Australia especially is decreasing rapidly. At the moment, air pollution is causing asthma and other lung related illnesses.
Coal power plants are just one of the reasons why Australia’s air quality is rapidly decreasing. Coal is a sandy rock. The rock contains sulphur and nitrogen impurities. It also contains other metals. There are approximately 30 coal power plants in Australia. They are located in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia.
