Aerospace engineering is becoming more and more important, jobs are opening up and we are exploring in the sky and outer space. That’s where aerospace engineers come in. This description reveals that the field is growing, and more and more job opportunities are coming. It will revolutionize the future based on what we do in this field, and it will shape all categories of society and our daily lives. Aerospace engineering is good because of all of the building, protection, social, military and technological advancements which makes the world a better place, and will shape it in the future. Building and protection advancements have been constantly made in the field of aerospace engineering. Before I talk about them though, I am going to specify …show more content…
Both of these fields are very important, and the author goes into a little more detail on it with this, “Aerospace engineers direct and coordinate the building and construction of aircraft and spacecraft” (BoLS). To go in on a little more detail with the 2 different branches, aeronautical engineers are involved in designing, building the propulsion system, making materials for it and studying the aerodynamicity of the aircraft. The astronautical engineers focus on technology and spacecraft but also focuses on the effect of Earth’s gravity on vehicles. The engineers often will design planes for different purposes, whether it is for private, commercial, or military use they try to make them as proficient and conservative as they can be. There are more fields but they are usually branches of these two fields. To move on to some of their specific achievements, NASA states that, “Space Exploration has helped with the advancement of firemen clothes because astronauts that have to go to space need fire protective suits” (NASA). Things like this improve safety of everyone who needs fire protective clothing which is a lot of people. You wouldn’t …show more content…
We are also developing things that help people’s everyday lives. One article states that, “Space Exploration has given us meteorology” (Radford). This is extremely important to everyone’s lives. Almost everyone above the age of 18 checks the weather at least once everyday if not more. That makes meteorology such a valuable asset to society. Now you should think of how do we access the weather station to see the forecast that the news provides us with its satellites. As another article states, “Space Exploration has given us instant television” (Radford). This is such an important thing to people because you wouldn’t get the news without the TV. With TV, you couldn’t see any games you want to watch, and political debates, not even cartoons or your favorite shows. Without aerospace engineering making those advancements, you wouldn’t have all the entertainment you have now or be up to date as you should be. This advancement was very surprising, but a good surprise, “Space Exploration has given us artificial limbs” (NASA). This is a very surprising thing but artificial limbs were created thanks to aerospace engineering. When you design planes and rockets, you have a lot of moving parts and you have to make a suit that will also respond to the bodily functions of the passengers on the spacecraft. When they developed that, they were able to make artificial limbs that allowed
An aerospace engineer is a planer and builder of things such as planes, missiles, helicopters, weapons, and many things involving aerodynamics. Aerospace engineers are very important in today’s time, because they are key in creating and innovating new flying machines. They have been important in keeping todays transport and trade systems alive and thriving (“Aerospace Engineers Aerospace”). Aerospace engineers also test many different types of aircraft over and over again to make sure they are safe for the public. In addition to having many different task they have to accomplish, aerospace engineers also have many duties they must cover.
As human technology develops it is a potentiality that the use of prosthetic limbs may become more advanced that the real human limb giving people the edge on sports fields and in the workforce. An imbalance between prosthetics and human limbs may become present as people may willingly have their limbs replaced by a robotic or part biological counterpart.
All you need to know about the role physics plays in the flight of an aircraft.
Even prosthetics have improved and adapted to new technological advances. This question has a lot of controversy and has pros and cons for each. Redrawing a limb could be the ultimate goal but could this ever be achieved? Prosthetics work well for so many people that why would we change it? This topic is really up in the air but it applies to everyone because it could singlehandedly change so much within the medical field, world, and amputees daily
Ever wonder what the atmosphere consists of? What's it made out of, what type of weather patterns are there, what does a hurricane look like, or other natural phenomenon's of today's weather ? Well America, hopefully now we can! Meteorology is the study of the atmosphere and the effects it has on our weather. Climatology focuses on how atmospheric changes alter the world’s climates, aeronomy is the study of the upper parts of the atmosphere. Meteorology focuses on the lower parts of the atmosphere, primarily the troposphere, where most weather takes place. It has been released that under the supervision of NASA, President Dwight D Eisenhower and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) that they have launched a satellite called TIROS 1 out of Cape Canaveral, Florida that will observe, record, and transmit data back to headquarters. The first ever weather satellite has arrived and with much hope will change weather prediction for the future.
Meteorologists study the atmosphere to warn the people of their location of incoming weather. This job requires education after high school from a college or university in a field related to meteorology. The median salary for meteorologists is around or above the average salary for people in the United States. Meteorologists work around the world and work through every weather situation, either indoors or outdoors. Their responsibilities of the job are very important as it could possibly saves from studying future weather. Computer programing and attention to detail are important skills for meteorologists as they use them every day to study the atmosphere. In order for them to study the data collected, specific tools and equipment are required.
In conclusion, Aviation has been there for me since I was in school. Whenever I thought my education wasn't important enough, it made me have second thoughts about how essential this factor is for me to be successful not only in the career of Aviation but also in life as a whole. With this in mind, eventually, I have seen Aviation as a motivation to always have a positive thinking not only for my education, but in my daily life as
When considering this topic, one might ask themselves why explore space? We explore space to compare other planets with the earth and to study the sun, to explore the universe while finding if intelligent life exists, for satellites to improve communications, weather forecasting, navigation, resource monitoring, and “to create a focal point for a new intellectual renaissance” (Ruzic).
Detractors of public sector space agencies like NASA frequently argue that expending money and resources on sending humans into space is wasteful and irresponsible during shaky economic times. After all, in 2010 the U.S. Census Bureau in recorded 46.2 million people in poverty, the largest number in the 52 years the figure has been published. Putting tax dollars into a shuttle and sending it on an extraplanetary voyage is uneconomical in the eyes of many. However, beneficial developments of the space program can be found in airports, hospitals, laboratories, and homes around the world. Foam created for protecting the outside of a shuttle passing through the harsh atmosphere has found use as a durable, light-weight molding material for artificial limbs. Research and development for NASA'S programs has parented a network of hundreds of communication satellites used around the world on a daily basis and monitored by NASA. Robotic arms used for repairs, maintenance, and hazardous labor in sp...
A large number of technological advances were made during the space race that people still use in their life to this very day. The organization that funded, researched, and physically sent
Aerospace engineers examine, analyze, design, produce, and occasionally install components that make up aircraft, spacecraft, high-altitude vehicles, and high-altitude delivery systems (missiles). Satisfaction with the romantic image of rocket building can buoy many engineers through the highly anonymous work environments that many of them face. Individuals don't assemble rockets; teams do, dozens of teams working in highly supervised coordination. An aerospace engineer plays some part on one of the teams, spending more of her time (roughly 70 percent) in a lab, at a computer, and assembling reports than doing anything else. Not being able to see the "big picture" frustrates some professionals. The path to becoming an aerospace engineer is a rigorous one, but those who manage to survive the difficult lift-off emerge with an above-average degree of career satisfaction.
There are various types of engineering that make the world the way it is. The engineering field is a huge necessity to the world. The field provides a sense of infrastructure and stability to anywhere and everywhere, and without engineers, the world would pretty much fall apart. Lots of people assume that engineering only has to deal with the environment and the external structures that make up where we live, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Other types of engineering include the makeup of the body, and the function of the specific internal organs. This is when we land on the field of biomechanics. The purpose of biomechanics is to study the function and the movement of the human body. This engineering field is very important because
Prosthetics is not a new technology and according to Kim M. Nortan’s article from inMotion, prosthetics has been around sense at least 300 B.C. The first peg leg that
