Professional Advertising Agencies and the Success of Sainsbury’s Marketing Campaign
The Sainsbury’s supermarket store is a very large company with many
stores located in the UK serving millions of customer’s everyday. The
promotional campaigns that Sainsbury’s are involved with are of
importance to the success of the company in order for them to promote
new product ideas to customers and to become a better place for people
to shop, so in some ways the campaign can enhance the shopping
experience for the customers. This would be the same in any other
business such as Sainsbury’s for example Iceland’s promotional
campaign is all about giving customers special offers at low prices
like buy one get one free in order for them to reach their target
audience they will advertise on TV to get a wider audience or even on
billboards to capture the attention of the public this is important
and could cause an increase in sales or for profits allowing the
company to make the promotion an even better campaign.
In order for Sainsbury’s to have a good promotion campaign they may
use a professional agency that are skilled in the area that
Sainsbury’s may want to see achievements as a result by Sainsbury’s
turning to professional agencies they are able to save money because
the company themselves will not need to spend money on collecting
information from different areas of the business and then struggle to
put the information into one large campaign that may not make sense,
it will be better for Sainsbury’s to instruct a professional agency
the type of promotion they want and how they will need to show this in
advertisements, this is better because a professional advertisement
agency already are specialist in that area all they will need to do is
to expand on the instructions given by Sainsbury’s to ensure a
successful campaign .
The professional advertising agencies that Sainsbury’s will use are
able to provide a wider range of services including marketing in this
area the business may be ask to find out information on what customers
may want from Sainsbury’s when going to the store they may ask
customers if they are happy with the services offered by Sainsbury’s
they may chose the type audience they believe this type of promotion
campaign is targeted at for example the may use segmentation and
separate the customers in to small gro...

...cessful the agencies will work out
if they will make a profit and they will take a percentage according
to how well Sainsbury’s will perform in the adverts. The cost is
important because other money from Sainsbury’s needs to be used to
reinvest and to make new product that they can inject into the
promotion.
An additional disadvantage to Sainsbury’s could be what if the
promotional campaign doesn’t go to plan and was ineffective if this
was to happen to Sainsbury’s they will be in serious consequences,
they will lose a lot of money not just from using the agencies but
from customers who will shop their or sales will drop and no profits
will be made this can happen by not targeting the product to the
correct people or targeting a segmented group all the time by doing
this customers will feel as if they are not wanted anymore. Another
disadvantage cold be the inconvenience of companies always having to
meet to discus the promotion this can be time consuming for the both
and if they do not plan the project out properly then they will waist
time and the product being promoted will be kept behind for longer
before they are able to issue it out to the target audience.
The company should combination of marketing push and pull strategy in order to attract the customers. Sales promotions, occasional discounts, advertisement in magazines and newspaper, TV commercials and public relations will help the company to increase the sales and profits in both national and international markets.
MAFIA - "a secret association having for its object the illicit control of any enterprise, legitimate or illegitimate, which it decides to infiltrate" (Allen 6).
In particular, promotions should target consumer who use paper-products and foams. Leveraging the company's highly trained sales personnel, relative benefits and long-term cost savings afforded by superior bubble product should be stressed. Additional promotional efforts should include direct mailings to potential clients in the US and Europe. Importantly, all promotional efforts must target packaging engineers.
The gang related activity of America cannot be extinguished overnight, but understanding that the fight against such crime is not an easy task will help win the American people’s support. The average citizen is enraged as well as discouraged by the acts of criminal gang forces, and the majority of Americans stand behind law enforcement already. The only way to put a dent in the criminal gang forces of America is through a combination of cooperation, education, and training techniques.
Not much detail marketing will still need to do competitor research so it doesn't help much in that area
The consequences of substance abuse as a practicing nurse are endless. According to the Alabama Board of Nursing Administrative Code, the Board will take disciplinary action toward a nurse who is proven to be negligent from the use of alcohol or has been proven to be addicted to any habit-forming drug (2017). Either of these criteria render the nurse unsafe and or unreliable to practice as a nurse (Alabama Board of Nursing, 2017). Depending on the extent of the offense, the Board may discipline the transgressor in several ways including reprimand, fine, and suspending or revoking their license (Alabama Board of Nursing, 2017). Any nurse facing these charges also must endure the embarrassment of having their name permanently put on the Disciplinary Action Reports page of the Alabama Board of Nursing website for all of the public to review (Alabama Board of Nursing, 2017). Thus, if said nurse loses his or her job in the process, future employers will access this database for hires, leaving the nurse to be scrutinized by any possible employer. Not only do nurses risk their own credibility, they also risk the lives of their patients when under the influence. A study recorded by Cares shows that substance abuse rates were highest among nurses working in specialty fields (2016). The nurses working in the fields such as adult critical care and
In order to provide a structure upon which a comprehensive marketing plan can be build, Sainsbury's should adopt a SOSTAC model in order to help the development of a logical structure combined with the key elements of a plan.
Promotion is a final step and can be easily marketed through local advertising in newspapers, flyers, school events, county fairs, churches, in home parties or celebrations; all occasions for the marketing of our candles. Once our company is established, along with returning customers, and increasing referrals we should not have any problems with increasing revenue; as candles are always in demand.
Everywhere in society their are people committing various crimes. Some crimes are petty, small acts, while other acts are serious felonies. Crime occurs everywhere for various reasons. One such form of crime is organized crime, where criminals rationally runs an enterprise to gain profit from their illegal activities (Walsh & Hemmens, 2014). This time of crime or crime mentality is found in gangs. Gangs are a group of individuals who can either have the same ideals and a loyalty to the specified gang or are together only for the profit and benefits of having an association with a specified gang, among other reasons. A gang usually have a hierarchal system from which there is one leader who hands out tasks to those below him and commands the group. It could be seen as a bureaucracy. These groups of individuals can be very different in values and beliefs, but the structure or idea of the group are very similar.
The initial screening process is important because patients often try to cover up their dependency issues or may be in denial about their drinking problem. After a thorough examination and history taking, the nurse provides three important steps to treating the alcoholic: intervention, detoxification, and rehabilitation. During the initial patient assessment, the nurse will document numerous symptoms such as autonomic hyperactivity (sweating or a fast pulse), increased hand tremor, insomnia, nausea or vomiting, hallucinations or illusions, agitation, anxiety, grand mal seizures, tactile disturbances, auditory disturbances, visual disturbances, headache or fullness in the head. Lab work is usually ordered to check for liver and other body functions. The nurse will maintain physiological stability during the acute withdrawal phase from alcohol and will promote patient safety. Appropriate referral, follow-up, and patient support, as well as information about condition/prognosis and treatment will be provided to the patient. Since co-existing or underlying disorders are common, some individuals may be suffering from other underlying psychiatric conditions and have been using alcohol as a form of self-medication. If this is the case, proper diagnosis of any co-existing psychiatric conditions (depression, bi-polar disorder etc.) will be made. Because alcoholism
Sainsbury's official ‘1914’ Christmas Ad is a video advert promoting the brand of Sainsbury’s (the second largest chain of supermarkets in the United Kingdom.) The advert takes the audience back to the time of war displaying the idea of opposite forces uniting on the occasion of Christmas and exchanging Sainsbury treats. This text promotes the idea of being together despite being in opposing army sides in battle by using the setting and symbols of Christmas and chocolates. In the advert, the British soldier secretly slips a gift into the pocket of a German soldier, who unwraps it to find a chocolate bar when he returns to his side of the battlefield showing the level of humanity of both sides despite being in fatal circumstances.
Advertising generally tries to sell the things that consumers want even if they should not wish for them. Adverting things that consumers do not yearn for is not effective use of the advertiser’s money. A majority of what advertisers sell consists of customer items like food, clothing, cars and services-- things that people desire to have. On the other hand it is believed by some advertising experts that the greatest influence in advertising happens in choosing a brand at the point of sale.
Media is a huge part of all of our lives and like many people, before this course, I got a lot of my information about organized crime groups on the news. “…the gangster film was a staple of silent era Hollywood (Hobbs, pg. 30). Just like today, the movie industry played a large part in how gangsters/mafia was seen, movies showed the public what organized crime groups did as well as what sort of people were usually associated with them. As we have learned in class, and as portrayed by media, certain ethnic groups were more active in organized groups than others. “Alien conspiracy theory, the insistence that organised crime is ‘imported’ and that foreigners are responsible for organised crime, has proved an effective tool of exclusion that has been applied to subsequent generations of diasporas” (Hobbs ,pg. 28) As Hobbs points out, mainly immigrants were blamed for the emergence of organized crime. A factor that has been mentioned in class and in articles is the question of why does this generally involve immigrants? Many scholars believe that it for socio-economic reasons, “Bell, for example, saw ‘organised crime’ as the ultimate attempt by the migrants in the United States to pursue the American Dream” (Hobbs pg. 27). And although this is the case, I think there is more to this than what the media depicts. “The Daily Mail
Nurses are people, human beings that even though are they are held to a much higher standard they are the same as everyone else. There is one exception, when a nurse makes a mistake it can cost more than ever imagined. Nurses can become addicted to drugs just like anyone else, nurses are more likely than the average person to become addicted to drugs and or alcohol because of the stress of their jobs. According to Howlett and Hill “Between 2% and 18% of nurses become chemically dependent on alcohol and /or other drugs” (page 65). That is just what transpired at the Board of Nursing’s disciplinary hearings of the two female nurses that were present for their hearings.
A career in nursing can be the most rewarding occupation most people can think of. It truly takes a unique person with a strong sense of discipline, diligence, responsibility, and a love for mankind to take on such a role. While nursing for most is very rewarding, it is also an occupation that can very easily overwhelm employees and requires most of the time more so then none, a great tolerance to stress. For some when the stress becomes overwhelming, It may lead to addiction, especially in the medical profession where prescription drugs are readily on hand. The addicted/under the influence nurse affects many people including their colleagues. Most importantly, under the influence nurses pose a serious risk to their patients. There is a major
