The goal being, to tie Chinese companies and, ultimately, its economy to the international market via countries all along the route – from Central Asia to Europe. China plans to do this through massive infrastructure projects throughout Central and Southeastern Asia, along with Eastern Europe. In effect, this new Sild Road is at the core of China’s blueprint for its financial diplomatic strategy.”
Infrastructure is important in the economic stability of any country and the comfort of its people. Mongolia is grappling with its economy because of poor development of logistical infrastructure. The reasons for this poor growth trace back to the history of the country, and its overreliance on the mining sector. The post-communist country depends too much on mining, which is clouded by corruption, thereby forestalling development of the transport system. The government and organizations in the country are also reliant on international support. Moreover, the recent privatization of institutions is not enough to address the development challenges in the country.
The term Silk Road does not refer to a single, clearly defined road or highway, but rather denotes a network of trails and trading posts, oasis and markets scattered all across Central Asia. All along the way, branch routes led to destinations off to the side of the main route, with one especially important branch leading to northwestern India, and thus to other routes throughout the subcontinent. The Silk Road network is generally thought of as stretching from an eastern station at the old Chinese capital city of Chang'an to westward stations at Byzantium (Constantinople), Antioch, Damascus, and other Middle Eastern cities. But beyond those end points, other trade networks distributed Silk Road goods throughout the Mediterranean world and Europe, on one end, and throughout eastern Asia on the other end.

An aggregate project plan is made to determine whether a company is good at achieving it long-term objectives. The reason for its development is that the organization usually has way too many projects because it focuses on the financial attributes of them, not their contribution to the set goals. The point here is to define the appropriate order in which to conduct operations so that both financial and strategic objectives of the company are achieved. What should be taken into consideration is the project type and project life cycle.
Being the present manager and being appointed by the government at the feasibility stage I am asked to write a report in order to outline the activities required to successfully manage this major project and to ensure that it is completed on time and within budget.
A project is a temporary endeavour undertaken to create a unique product or service. They are goal oriented, have a definite start and finish time, must be done within cost, schedule and quality parameters. Projects involve the coordinated undertaking of interrelated activities (Project Management: Achieving Competitive Advantage). According to Tom Peters, “Projects, rather than repetitive tasks, are now the basis for most value-added in business”. Based on this, it is clear that projects are of utmost importance to businesses in both the service and the manufacturing industries.

The High Speed Rail could boost the economy and could provide alternate transportation, therefore it should be built.
