Many people liked the Mongols despite their destructive ways. The Mongols conquered and then united China. This created peace among the country and led to other great things. trading with other countries because it was less dangerous for merchants to travel a long ways. The explorers also started traveling to China because of the new found peace. This led to inventions and ideas traveling from China to Europe. This was a positive impact as is allowed for new ideas to spread and peace. Furthermore, the Mongols created fairly nice laws to live by. Hospitality was required of all women when their husbands left for war. This means they had to supply room and food to travelers. They also had laws against drinking. A man was only allowed to get drunk three times a month, but once or twice a month was better. The Mongols even had laws against adultery, which was rare in those times. They also had some policies on marriage. These laws kept everything organized. The last way the Mongols left a positive impact was their fast messaging system. The messaging system had paths to follow with stops every twenty-five miles. At these stops there were supplies and food. When a message had to be delivered fast to the emperor, they used multiple horses. At every post house there would be a new horse waiting for the messenger therefore horses don’t run out of energy. The messaging system also helped spread ideas and inventions. In conclusion the Mongols had a very large positive impact on Asia when they ruled from 1206 to 1368. They created good laws, united China, spread ideas and inventions as well as much more. Over the course of their many empires, the Mongols conquered lands from as far as the Korean peninsula to the Islamic civilizations of the Middle East. The movement of the Mongol people into these areas was met with mixed opinions, as members of some societies respected the braveness of the Mongols while others saw them as destructive.
