Advancement Of Public Education Essay

Public education has taken a huge role in promoting and teaching students things they can take and use in the real world as an adult. As times come and go, the advancement of technology is progressing at an extreme rate. As a student, accessing technology at school and at home is now a crucial factor.

The advancement of public education is effected by many different factors. A main factor is technology. The continuously changing pace of the advancement of technology creates some challenges for the school, but if used to its advantage, it can create umpteen opportunities and can benefit students in unbelievable ways. Some challenges can consist of is schools would be forever playing catch up as more advanced technology emerges. This can be extremely expensive. Although this stands in the way, there is always a difference of just giving students access to the Internet to creating an enriched setting to where students use the technology with quality. More recently, there has been a greater focus on finding enough bandwidth to provide the school with Internet and to allow streaming audio and video in the classrooms.

Many students are visual learners. By this, they need to see the information in front of them. Many teachers set up a PowerPoint on a projector and have students take notes. Yes, this is a good learning concept as we have to

read it and write it, but teachers can always take it to the next level with a broader spectrum of learning. With the ongoing advances in the technological world, students are getting more access to educational opportunities. Every time something else is created, the ‘new’, the ‘old’ is now cheaper and the price of the existing technology is decreased which makes it easier for schools to purchase different items to help promote their equipment; even to those schools that might not have a lot of financial resources available to them.
There is a varying number of people who has the opinion of technology is ruining children. An example of this is instead of writing out your vocabulary words, you can type them faster and email them to your teacher. Many believe that with no handwriting, it is lazy and not educational, although we are saving trees. Despite the fact that people still argue about this, technology is still a major part of the society we live in today. By introducing it into our schools and classrooms, we will ensure that the students are equipped with much better tools and can learn more from it. Technology is everywhere in the world today.
This generation grew up without knowledge of not having the use of technology. This generation and the ones to come will be constantly using Internet, so why not and teach its good in school rather than them finding the bad. Technology has grown to the point to where young children are learning from broadcasted shows and learning websites. Children are learning at a younger and faster rate because of this and give them a head start on their education before they are even allowed to go to school.
Instead of schools trying to keep their teachings the same, they need to embrace its usage.

Technology is not always bad. With careful planning and patience, teachers and the school can make its usage a learning progress and it will be beneficial in the long run. It is useful in providing more knowledge to our students and also on making them competitive in the job market, as it will also be technology based. Upgrading technology and using it more in the classroom will help the advancement of public education. It will give not only students, but also the teachers and other employees’ added knowledge to a greater learning
