Is Adpocalypse taking over? Online ads have plagued the internet, making it for the worse. This article describes a convincing concept they call “Adpocalypse” and how it became a significant problem. Large companies are obsessed with marketing because it helps them reach new consumers. Companies collect data from the user's online activity to target ads they want to see. A consumer's time on the internet is important. Being constantly interrupted by an ad can make their experience miserable. Whether I am doing research on something for school or watching a video on YouTube, I always get interrupted by an ad. On some occasions, it distracts me from what I am doing and prolongs that task.
