Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, born on May 5, 1988 in Tottenham, North London. Started singing at the age of four, after heavily being inspired by the Spice Girls music group. Around the age of 14-15, Adele attended The Brit School of Performing Arts and Technology. One day while attending school, for a class project, Adele cut a Three-track demo. The demo eventually ended up being added to her Myspace page, where Xl recordings heard the track for the first time. Four months after Adele graduated in November 2006, XL Recordings called her up and she signed her first record deal (Biography.com). She was drawn to music with gospel, jazz, and blues influences. At the age of 16, Adele wrote her first song "Hometown Glory", premiered on her first album 19' in 2008. According to (axs.com), album 19' is classified as a seven times platinum in the UK, and double platinum in the united states. Alongside "Hometown Glory" there was another song that earned her a great deal of praise and success, which was "Chasing pavements", that really started her fame. After album 19' came out, Adele won the Brit Critic Choice award, and 6 Billboard awards alone for this album. "Chasing Pavements" was a big award winner as well, putting Adele at No.2 on the Uk boards in 2008 (Mic.com), and earning her 2 wins for the Grammys. One trophy for Best Female Pop Vocal performance and one for Best New Artist, both won in 2009 (Aceshowbiz.com). Soon after her first album in 2011, she presented yet another album, this one named 21' after her age. Album 21' featured songs such as "Rolling in the Deep", "Someone Like You", and "Set Fire To The Rain". Her music has changed because over the years, she has grown and matured; meaning she has more to write about, more things to go on in her music. My favorite songs by Adele would have to be "Don’t you Remember", "Send My Love", "Chasing Pavements", and "Hello". I love these songs because she opens up In her songs, she allows people to feel what she's feeling or what she felt during that particular time in her life. Since she isn't public with her relationships, this is her way to show everyone what is really going on.
