Abstract – Building teams is essential in almost every software project. People join hands on the basis of mutual interests, same desires, matching skills and ability to work together during the projects they undertake in their student life. More than in any other project, student projects have almost fixed and not extendable time boundaries and it is almost the key desire to develop teams and make them work in an effective manner. In industrial organizations and software industries it is most common as a knowledge that Team Software Process (TSP) is best practice that not only helps in effective team building but also support the delivery of quality projects on time and within budget. Numerous researches and Software Engineering Institute’s various articles indicate success in case of multiple projects and as noted by Watts Humphrey, current industry data show that more than one-third of all non-TSP software projects still fail [5].

The current research, realizing the need and effectiveness of TSP proposes its use in small teams present a framework for its adaptation

I. INTRODUCTION

To improve the quality of work done by the developers at individual and team level, Humphrey developed the Personal Software Process (PSP) and Team Software Process (TSP). PSP shows software engineers how to plan and track their work, and how good and consistence practice of time management, good software engineering practices and data tracking can lead to high-quality software. In an interview Humphrey states that “Developers using PSP improve the quality of their work at...
