Pro-life or Pro-choice? Every year around election time the topic ‘Abortion’ becomes a serious thought for many people when it comes down to deciding who they want representing them. Everybody has their own beliefs about abortion, which are mainly supported by their religious views. Nearly one million women have abortions every year, having to go through making the decision of life or death of their unborn child. Abortion happens when the mother chooses to abort the unborn child in her womb. Abortion is legal in the United States but many states are trying to make it harder for women to have one. The states are making women wait and think about their decision before women can receive an abortion. Most states are making it hard enough for women that they would have to be in a life threatening situation before they will let women go through the procedure. Once the medical procedure is finished, everything is said and done with. If women decide to take the pills, they have to go through all of the feelings and symptoms of losing the child (Quindlen). Most mothers that have go through abortion cannot talk about what happened after the abortion is finalized. Everyone has a different view on abortion, which is mainly based on their religious views. As Catholics, we are taught pro-life. We do not believe abortion is the right thing to do because we believe each child deserves a chance at life. Lutherans are free to believe what they want, while many decide to agree with pro-life. I myself am a pro-life believer. I am a strong believer in the statement ‘everything happens for a reason,’ therefore I believe that God chose that woman to mother the child and believed she could do
