Introduction
The background behind why I chose this topic is because I saw this not only affect myself, but my teammates around me throughout my pre-collegiate basketball career. This game-changing event also affected my decision on whether to continue at the collegiate level. Overall, my Capstone project is a personal interest in ACL injuries including: prevention, treatment, risk factor analysis, and how far the medical field has come in the diagnosis, treatment, and recovery aspects when encountering these injuries among female athletes.
