I have chosen to do a paper on Bipolar Disorder. Bipolar is a disorder in when a person’s mood inappropriately alternates between feelings of mania and depression. A bipolar mania is a mental illness classified by psychiatry as a mood disorder. Also individuals with bipolar disorder experience episodes of an elevated or agitated mood known as mania or hypomania, depending on the severity alternating with episodes of depression. This depression also comes with a lot of symptoms which could lead to other disorders or problems. The symptoms of bipolar are inability to complete tasks (could turn you into a compulsive hoarder or you just not able to complete all your tasks on time or when you want to finish them), depression (could have you wonting to kill yourself or maybe you don’t want to eat a lot could happen with the depression part of this disorder), irritability (you could just be going off on your loved ones and they didn’t even do anything and make them feel down and the it will be more than one person mad or irritated), rapid speech (everyone knows we don’t like someone who talks a lot no one wants to be around someone who talks your ear off so that’s bad period) , trouble at work ( If you have trouble at work that could get you fired at work for whatever you did unless your boss is just cool and he/she just understands) , and erratic behaviors (could lead to you having affairs that you would have never thought of having) which all of these could lead to other things. Bipolar does not have a specific cause it is a complex disorder with multiple contributing factors one is genetic. Sometimes bipolar tends to run in peoples families. Another factor is biological. Researchers believe that some neurotransmitters including se... ... middle of paper ... ... lost free time, strained relationships with people who may not understand the situation, and physical and mental exhaustion. It can be very hard to cope with a loved one's bipolar symptoms. One study shows that if a caregiver is under a lot of stress, his or her loved one has more trouble following the treatment plan, which increases the chance for a major bipolar episode. If you are a caregiver of someone with bipolar disorder, it is important that you also make time to take care of yourself. When learning about the bipolar disorder I have learned a lot about it. I have learned about all the causes and about all the symptoms of this disorder. If you have bipolar you have a lot of stress in your life and you can’t even get rid of it really you can calm it down but you’ll never get rid of it. I would think it reall sucks to have bipolar and that’s just my opinion.
