Rapid technological development has increased the demand for compact and reliable electronic devices. Compact sized products with improved connectivity coupled with high speed will likely emerge winners. Connectors are an integral part of such devices. The key drivers of the connector industry are growing 3C applications (computing, communication, and consumer electronics), miniaturization of electronic devices, and increasing electronic content in devices.
The growing market in Asia-Pacific
According to Bishop & Associates, Inc., a market research firm specializing in the global electronic connector market, connector sales grew 8.2% in 2014 to $55,402 million. Lucintel, a management consulting firm further predicts that the connecter market will reach a value of $65.7 billion by 2019. However, connector sales figures in 2015 do not live up to its expectation. The Bishop & Associates report shows an overall year on year decline in sales by 5.6% (Figure 1: Connector Industry Sales Performance by Region) across the world. Only the Asia-Pacific region is expected to round up the year with

Technological development: Six main directions
1. FEC and IC packaging miniaturization: density is less than a space of 200mmH
2. High-speed transmission interfaces, connector must be matched with high bandwidth and high-speed circuit, realizing high speed
3. Reliability and stability of peak current mode, making full use of cooling air and providing more excellent long-term stability
4. Response to the trend of electronics environmental protection, lead-free, halogen-free and nanometer environmental protection materials will be widely

In Jonathan Swift’s satire, “A Modest Proposal”, Swift writes about the starving people of Ireland in the early 1700’s. He makes a wild and absurd proposal to help remedy the problems of overpopulation and poverty. Swift wants to make a political statement by using the “children” as satire to grasp the attention of the audience - the English people, the Irish politicians and the rich – and make them aware of the political, moral, and social problems. In “A Modest Proposal”, Swift’s arguments are presented effectively by using pathos (emotional appeal), ethos (ethics and values), and logos (logic reasoning and facts).
In the article “The Modest Proposal” the credible author known as, Johnathan Swift informs us readers on the starving families in Ireland. Swift’s total purpose of the article is to educate the article readers on how these families struggle for survival from the problem of starvation. Swift adopts an emotional and relatable feeling in his readers. Swift further conveys his explanation later on in the article.
Have you ever read a Modest Proposal? A Modest Proposal was written by Jonathan Swift in 1729. Swift’s purpose is to persuade the poor people of Ireland that babies and young kids are useless, and can be used for more things when they’re deceased versus alive. He says that they’re too expensive for their parents to take care of them and keep them nourished. Swift adopts a serious yet sarcastic tone in order to convince the poor people that babies and young children are useless. He talks about many issues when it comes to having babies and young kids.
People have been trying to come up with solutions to threatening epidemics from many years. There was a famine in Ireland that killed many people. The poor people of Ireland could not support their families, which made them go to extreme measures. In order to survive, women and children were forced to beg for food to prevent them from starving to death. Jonathan Swift proposes a solution to this epidemic in A Modest Proposal. Swift states that the poor Irish should sell their children as if they were cattle, or better yet, eat the children themselves. Swift uses a mocking tone in order to effectively convey that he does not actually support cannibalism, but rather uses it as metaphor to describe the harsh times of Ireland.
In the essay, A Modest Proposal, the speaker is Jonathan Swift. Swift is most known for his satirist writing style which is also evident in his novel called Gulliver's Travels. Swift was an intelligent Oxford graduate student who published his famous piece, A Modest Proposal, in 1729. In this piece he addresses the issue of poverty in Ireland by proposing a humorous solution. The purpose of his text is to shock his audience by his over the top solution to end poverty. Swift adopts a persuasive tone in his proposal to convey his readers that his solution would be beneficial.

ACRL has been my professional home since my initial years as an academic librarian. The landscape of higher education and academic libraries continues to ever evolve as much as technology transforms asynchronous and synchronous learning. Academic libraries and librarians must continue to remain relevant. Highlighting our scholarship, teaching, and service to students, faculty, and administrators at our respective institutions. ACRL initiatives such as the recent Diversity Alliance addresses a personal mission of mine. The lack of demographics from our communities

To My Dearest Ernest, I write this to you, blushing and grinning at the prospect of us spending the rest of our lives with each other. While pondering your union with mamma, one of my dearest carriage men has just offered me a delectable dish of fresh scones with jam and a pot of English breakfast tea to bide my time. I sit here alone in this carriage with diary, pen and the urge to run back to you to be embellished with your words of love and the ritual of your proposal. However, during this moment of separation, I have some time to reflect. At this very moment instead showering me with promises of endless love and devotion I am under the assumption that you are being interrogated by mamma regarding our potential marriage.
Punishing various forms of free speech is only negative. In the Satirical Essay A Modest Proposal by Dr. Jonathan Swift in 1729, he wrote about his personal propositions for a crippling and dire situation the kingdom was under at the time of his writing. He writes his words in a way that expresses his free speech. Not only does punishing various forms of speech negatively affect civilization, but it also anchors the ability to grow as a society. Punishing various forms of speech negatively affects civilization by holding one another back from spreading what can be defined as the truth altogether.
