Problems
Fundraising is hard, organizing a fundraising event is even harder.
Participants are often disconnected with the work and mission of the fundraiser.
Lack of involvement due to failure to spread the word about the fundraising event.

Plan of Action
Introduction
This manual is written to help students who are members of a club or organization on how to start and organize a fundraising event. Fundraising takes hard work patience and passion. The guide will give the essential items, things to do and ways to organize an event that is exciting and profitable.
Selecting the Right Fundraising Project
The questions below will help you choose the right fundraising project:
What is the amount of money do we need to make?
What is the amount of money doe we need to invest for the project?
What is the amount of money spent on advertising and publicizing?
How many volunteers do we need?
Who is our target? Students? Businesses?
Where is the money going?

Step 1: Setting a Date

The weather conditions must be examined.
You must plan your event with the possibility of rain or snow. Choose an alternate date or alternate inside locations for your event.
Check and see if there are similar events at the same time or near the time of your fundraiser
Consider other school activities that might affect your fundraiser.
For example, if it is exam week or the week before finals week, student will not have time to participate in any fundraising events.

Step 2: Finding a Location

Check the costs and time spent in setting up and cleaning the location after.
Prepare for emergencies such as rain. If your fundraiser is an outside event, prepare an alternate location.

Create a newsletter for other students, faculty, administrators, parents and friends.

My favorite part about the project was adding the formatting elements into the manual. I liked adding all the design elements, look for different pictures and choose fonts for the project.

If I had another month to work on the project, I would add more sections to my manual such as adding more fundraising ideas for school, for sports and church.
Conclusion
This guide to fundraising is designed to help assist students who want to develop and coordinate fundraising events.
It will provide the necessary tools, techniques, examples and methods to sponsor and exciting and profitable event
A successful fundraiser not only offers your organization the chance to help others, but also extends a valuable opportunity to promote a positive image.
