Hazards in Huntington Beach
I live in the city of Huntington Beach, a city where the waves and beaches are famous and known all around the world for it 's surfing and one of the best places to be able to take your four legged babes to run and romp around in the sand and waves. A place that can seem like a piece of heaven to those that like to surf. But did you know that Huntington Beach has a dark side to it, one that many of it 's citizens do not like to talk about or don 't know about.
What is this dark side you probably wonder and here is the secret it is that Huntington Beach faces many hazards some that are natural made only by mother earth like earthquakes, flooding, water spouts, Santa Ana winds, and tusnamis. Others are man made like Naval Seal weapons, older Nuclear generating stations at the San Onofree and refinery oil spills just waiting to explode if not well …show more content…

Water spouts have happen in the Pacific oceans in Huntington Beach where an intense funnel-shaped cloud vortex happens over a body of water. This vortex is a non-supercell form tornado over water.(water spouts definition). During a water spouts you can see dark clouds over the ocean.
Santa Ana winds are natural made, the Santa Ana winds are strong, extremely dry down-slope winds that originate inland and affect coastal Southern California. When the Santa Ana winds arrive they usually can tear down trees, and destroy wooden fences that are not well built. Santa Ana winds have been known to turn over cars and even destroy buildings. The Santa Ana winds can cause fires out in the forest parks and even make it hard for firefighters to turn out fires at the parks.
