. What is a worldview? “A worldview, is a response of our heart or inner being; our intellect, emotion or will. It is the total framework we bring to decision-making” (Weider & Gutierrez, 2011, p.51). The way Christians should behave in direct correlation with the teachings of Jesus is to how we should live our lives. Responsible Christians should act as everything they do matters in their worldviews. There are Christians who do not act consistently to what their worldview is. First lets go back in time to Genesis 1:1 (ESV Bible) shows God creating the heavens and the earth. God is the infinite, personal, sovereign and good being who created the universe. What your parents believe, and their worldview will most undoubtedly be the basis for your worldview. From what people will allow to let their kids watch on TV. The average child watches murders and acts of violence by the end of elementary school at a young age to the constant bombardment of sex and violence. As Christians it is our job and role to protect our kids from all of this until kids reach a certain age to were they understand and know from right and wrong. An individual’s worldview is shaped from an early age, and it can either become fortified with age or can be evolved. As we grow we can either stand fast in our worldview, in our beliefs as Christians, or we can adapt and be molded by what we see and experience in the world. I grew up in the church like many children. I went through the motions, was baptized, received my confirmation and went to church often. I lived according to the Bible. I was going to school with kids that chew tobacco, drank, and had sex with girls. I chose not to live that life. Although I struggled internally with my own spirituality because of the body wanted to be cool and followed the world I knew it was wrong. I wanted to stay out of trouble. My parents taught me from right and wrong. There were girls that wanted to have sex with me but I chose not to. Tobacco and drinking just did not thrill me. I look on it as a
