Mike was separated from the point of impact by only about 10 floors. The jolt to the building was enough to put a crack in the floor oh his floor damage. Did you hear a boom? When the tower was by the plane I feel like I’m in New york city. If I were there in New York City I should run when the tower was coming down. It was really scary and sad I would cry.

During an interview of three family members, I was able to learn more information about the events of 9/11. My mom, Jamie Goldman, was the first person I interviewed. She told me she was helping a friend with her new business in Aiken, SC. She first heard on the radio, breaking news, that a plane had flown into one of the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center. Her first thought was that a plane had crashed accidentally. As the day went on, she learned of even more horrible acts against our country, and then realized our Nation was under attack from terrorist. My mom was heartbroken, scared, sad, and mad all at the same time. She struggles with forgiving the terrorist but knows that God would want her to forgive them. The song "God Bless the USA" is a song that helps my mom cope with the events of 9/11. My mom did not know anyone personally that was killed or injured on 9/11. She said, "after 9/11, our country has been a country at war. We have stopped loving our neighbors and instead, started judging them."
The IC decided that the first thing that needed to be done was to contain the fire and get it extinguished as soon as possible. Then the IC divided the situation into three primary sections Tower 1, Tower 2 and the Vista Hotel. The bomb had detonated right below the Vista Hotel and thick black smoke was quickly filling the two towers. He then c...
September 11, 2001 was a day that Americans and the world for that matter will not soon forget. When two planes went into the twin towers of the World Trade Center and two others went into the Pentagon and a small town in Pennsylvania, the world was rocked. Everyone in the United States felt very vulnerable and unsafe from attacks that might follow. As a result, confidence in the CIA, FBI, and the airlines were shaken. People were scared to fly after what had happened.
9/11 was a horrific incident. There are no words that can possibly describe how deeply it affected the America that my generation has come to know. This atrocity hurt the economy and made us into an intolerant country; however, this same atrocity also opened our nations eyes. It showed us how vulnerable we were, and as a result our countries security, and the concern for safety of its citizens has grown. While it is important to recognize how terrible 9/11 was, its also important to recognize how much it has helped our great nation. 9/11 and events like it are important. They show us how to better our country and though painful, these events necessary into growing our country.
Introduction On September 11, 2001, the World Trade Center buildings one and two were attacked. However, who we were attacked by and even if we were attacked is a hard decision to make. There have been many different claims about how everything on that fateful day happened. There are facts that we know are true, though; Flight 11 flew into the North Tower at eight forty- six in the morning.
"9/11 is when the two twin towers fell because, a plane crashed into each twin tower."said mother.
The day of 9/11 is a day that will be in the back of everybodys minds for lifetime. On that sorrowful day four passenger airplanes were highjacked and ultimately crashed. Two of the airplanes crashed into each of the Twin Towers located in New York City. After the buildings burned for around 20 minutes they fell to the ground bringing along millions of tons of debris that killed many workers from both towers. One of the other airplanes crashed into the Pentagon also killing many innocent people. The last airplane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania after many believe that the passengers over powered the highjackers. Many people still morn the deaths of the victims from 9/11. From the second the planes crashed, people have tried to make money from this ordeal, making it one of the most advertised and talked about issue the US has ever seen.
On video it showed that the towers were crashed into, by the two planes Flight 11 and
September 11, 2001 is a date in American history that will not be forgotten by American citizens. After the assault on both the Twin Towers in Manhattan, and the
September 11 is not just about mourning, it's about the community giving back hope. It is about police forces and firefighters in N.Y , the servicemen and females in the Pentagon, including the many passengers in the flights. September 11 was a day of disgrace, but it was also a day of bravery, and of integrity.
On September 11, 2001 terrorists crashed two American airline airplanes into Twin Towers, killing thousands of people. It was the worst terrorist attack in American history and it showed us that we are not protected by Atlantic and Pacific. It showed us that we could be attacked by anyone at anytime. It showed us that if we will be attacked again that we can only depend on each other and not on other nations to help us. The 9/11 changed people forever, some lost family members or friends, others lost their jobs even so called “American Dream.”
Knowing that 9/11 (september 11) didn’t happen everywhere on the globe but it impacted everyone. Just like we are all one we defend each other and feel bad for each other. One way to think about it is we all are recovering each year on this historical day. It may bring tears to people's eyes. Even though some people weren't born yet when 9/11 happened everyone can still feel the devastation that everybody feels. That people who didn’t like america thought to crash the Twin Towers in New York. I don’t know why i bet no one knows why but we can’t change it, we can’t go back into the past and prevent them from doing it. We all know it was hard; for the people who lost their job, home and maybe even their job that payed for that single home. That day in New York most people lost a lot of things; possessions family objects. Some of those things you just can’t recover. But we will always move on. That's why we have to know that it happened but it can always show us that we are one nation and we are growing everyday, every year and every time this day comes around. We all stand strong.
Imagine waking up to the sound of a big bang, people screaming for help and children crying. Everyday somewhere around the world a battle is going on and many people are losing their lives. Our nation has had to go through some horrible tragedies before. Pearl Harbor and 9/11 are both tragedies that have changed the lives of many people. The different responses of both presidents that were running the white house at the time those catastrophes occurred delivered a speech that gave hope to our people when they were despairing. These strikes were a surprise to our nation and were both caused by different reasons. After 9/11 it took people a lot of time to recover both mentally and physically. Our government made a promise to those people who proved themselves to be heroes during the 9/11 attack, but sadly the government has not been able to live up to that promise.
We all know about the attacks on September 11th. The news interrupted broadcasts to show that first plane hit the tower. I was still trying to comprehend that when the reports were updated to show the second plane. Thousands were killed. It was a tragedy and we should never forget it.
The news spread throughout the country like wildfire and it affected each citizen of every state, city, and town in America. Although the events that occurred made everyone grieve, it united the citizens as they worked to rebuild what was destroyed. The people grieved for each other as if they were a team. I can’t speak for the people that died and the people that lost their loved ones, and I can only imagine how difficult the healing process has been for everyone involved. The hurt that the country faced left an uncertain future for America.
