Who wouldn’t love only four days of school, and three days off? The four day school week should be brought to all schools. Believe it or not it is quite common. Many schools from around the world are using the four day school week. The four day school week is far superior to the five day school week because it gives students and teachers an extra day to do whatever they want. Like catch up with homework, or to relax and remove their stress.
A four day school week is far superior because of better school performance. Professionals from all around the world have done their research and have tested it, they say that it significantly increases grades in every class by a large percentage. It also significantly decreases the dropout rate due to the extra time the student gets off. This extra day off helps build up his or hers confidence, making them try harder resulting in better grades. And lastly, students and teachers are better rested on the weekdays because they have more time to sleep and relax on the weekend. Stress can make students and teachers perform terribly. There are many benefits to the four day school week.

There are many benefits in time. For instance, it can give time for students to find part time jobs for learning how to work. Students really learn how to balance between school, homework, extra curricular activities, and their job. It also helps students because it gives them a three day weekend for extra curricular activities. The additional time might be used for studying or preparing assignments for the following week. Also it gives students more time to learn and ask questions, or student and teacher time, because of the longer classes that the four day school week
brings. Lastly, a four day school week crushes a five day school week because of the school’s operating and staff cost. All schools should and try and save money right? After all that is money that could be used towards the greater good of the school. Well because its a four day school week students do not have to go another day to school and the bill lowers, it adds up over time. The school can also use the money they saved from electricity or heating or air conditioning for more playground equipment for younger kids or even games for them, or any school related items, like books. It’s just a thought. The money the school saved could also help improve the school’s facility. Transportation would be significantly cheaper due to not using the school busses that extra day, meaning less wear and tear, and more savings! Diesel fuel is not cheap, and repairs can be costly! The four day school week is by far the best solution, the four day school week helps with students learning, it helps build up courage and motivation. The four day school week saves money, and most important it gives us students the break we need over a long hard school week! Sure there are some advantages to having a five day school week, like less days of school you need to go to, but in the long run the four day school week is far superior because of all its advantages. Sure that the normal work week is five days long, but all the juggling that us students have to do, school, homework, extra curricular activities, job, and family/ leisure time. Adding this up takes up a bunch of hours out of our hard earned time. Experts are even saying that a four day school week is far superior to the normal five day school week. Teachers and students will feel better after relaxing for that extra day, and not stress about not getting your homework done. Better performance in school makes better grades, and makes you feel confident about yourself.

Four-day weeks are a blessing from Jesus, at least back when I went to my Christian private school. All jokes aside, I loved those four day weekends, as they saved the school money, allowed me to relax, and let me finish my homework. Three-day weekends cooled everything off and helped me to be ready and refreshed to go back to school. Now that I am back in public school, this nice comfort no longer exists.
