During the 1800´s working in factories was hard. They had long working hours. In these two prompts there were four different people who either pick that factories weren't that bad or that they were bad. In this I will be giving examples from the text. An example of from “document A” this is Dr.Ward he thought that it was difficult to work in these factories, especially children. He was asked ¨Have you observed that children in these factories have particular accidents?’’ his reply was “...in many instances the muscles, and skin striped done around the bone, and in some instances a finger or two might be lost.” Another thing that Dr.Ward said was that “Cotton factories are highly unfavorable, both health and morals of those employed in them.” meaning that they lake the mortality that it needs to be a well rounded company. …show more content…

By stating “ regular (work time) was from five in the morning until nine or ten at night” so he thought it was long and hard working hours. He also stated that “No time was allowed for breakfast and no sitting for dinner and no time for tea” there was no time for anything else. There was no fun time.
